Sighing, I opened my eyes, shivering for some reason. There were chills on every inch of my skin. The hairs on the end of my neck stood up as I was absolutely freezing even with the blanket and his body heat. I mean I’m sure he’s there, and I’m admittedly expecting it. I think that's pretty reasonable. After all, he’s always here.
Still half asleep, I went to grab his hands only to feel my own stomach. Looking down, I realized there wasn't a familiar pair of arms around and definitely nobody on top of me. His head wasn't resting on my back or in my neck either.
Sitting up, I glanced over to see why I was basically in the arctic.
He was nowhere to be found.
Getting out of bed, I shuddered as my feet touched the ground. Still, I did my best to ignore it as I walked over to the rack, throwing on the first shirt on a hanger. Stepping outside, I looked around to see there were the usual three people up.
As I glanced by the Cook stand, I spotted someone who usually isn't. In fact, he was supposed to be in bed with me, even if it was while being awake.
Aris was talking to Fry about something, leaning in relatively close as though whatever it was was a secret.
Okay. I’m sure it's nothing bad but that's odd. It's definitely odd.
Knowing him, it’d either be nothing or I’d find out in no time.

I hadn't noticed in the morning since I hadn't looked at the clothes, but I wasn't in my shirt. The blue long sleeves belonged to my Aris.
It was nice. Realizing why I could smell him. His wonderful coffee and outside scent. It's comforting to be carrying it on me. Weird maybe but comforting.
I’m definitely going to keep this shirt. It made the day a thousand times better.
The day’s over now though. It's time to get to bed.
Well, it was supposed to be. The thing is I can't go to sleep without him, and he was not home when I got off despite me literally showering for quite a while. Not because anything was wrong. It just felt kind of nice to wash up and then stand under the warm water.
This has to have something to do with this morning, right?
I’m still not worried. Curious but not worried. He’d be back.
Grabbing a book from under the bed, I took a seat on it. Right as I was setting in the canopy swished open, revealing exactly who'd I expect.
“Where were y-”
“Come on,”He interrupted, slipping my jacket off a rack and tossing it to me.
“Why-”
“No questions,”He cut me off, a wide, almost mischievous grin on his face.
“What could possibly be so important?”I asked, putting it on anyway.
“Probably shoes too. It's cold.”
“Aris-”
“The sooner you get ready the sooner you find out.”
Giving in, I quickly slipped my socks and tennis shoes on, tightly tying them. The second I did, he pulled me up. As I tried to face him, he covered my eyes with his hands.
“What-”
“Keep your eyes closed.”
“Aris-”
“Please?”
Sighing, I did as he asked. Taking my hand, he slowly led me out of our home, seeming like he wanted to run. Okay. This is getting weirder but the second, but I trust him. It's not like he’ll throw me off a cliff or something. Especially because I’m pretty sure I recognize this path.
As long grass brushed past my ankles and the sound of sand crunching hit my ears, it was clear I was right. It was the beach. That's lovely, but it didn't explain the laughter and chatting I could hear. The closer we got to the waves crashing on the shore, once again something I only knew using sound, the more clear they got. They sounded like our friends.
There was a glowing light I could see, even with my eyes shut. I know where I am, but that didn't tell me why.
“And open,”He allowed, squeezing my hand.
“What did,”I trailed off as I did so. The second I could see I fell absolutely speechless, the sight leaving me in shock.
It was smaller than the usual one, and that made it so much more cozy.
It was the usual friend group and of course Mary. Because she may not exactly be there, but she was definitely mine. They were either in a circle around the fire or sitting by the shore. The flames still flickered, the embers glowing bright in the night sky. There was nothing but water in the clear cups, even for Minho.
“You haven't had one you deserve yet, you know? With being sick, and dragging people home, and jerks, and me. So this one is just for you.”
“Aris,”I barely found my voice.
“You don't have to be here if you don't want to, but the option is always there. You don't have to like-”
Cutting him off, I threw my arms around him, catching him off guard as he stumbled for a moment. Burying my face in his neck, I firmly held him, a surge of love traveling throughout my veins and blood as I was basically handed the world on a silver platter.
“It's perfect,”I promised.
“It suits you then, doesn't it?”He whispered as he tightly hugged me, wrapping his arms around my waist.
“You didn't have to do this for me.”
“I wanted to.”
“We helped, you know?”
“I’m sure you did,”I promised, pulling away from Aris. Quickly and loosely, I hugged Thomas. Still, before he could hug back, I pulled away, giving him a small smile.
“That's my very first Y/N hug,”He realized.
“And probably your last,”I warned.
“No it won't be,”He denied.
