She was at the end of the bed in the morning, curled up by our feet. She was still fast asleep, not a care in the world. She's still currently nameless, but I’m sure we’ll will get figured out eventually.

“You seriously knew about the cat?”I sighed.

“Yeah. It was two steps behind him all day,”Thomas shrugged.

“It went somewhere while we were getting dressed so I guess it's around here. I just wasn't expecting to come home to a cat.”

“Do you like the cat?”

“I’m indifferent to it.”

“It’s a cat. You’ll love it eventually.”

“That's exactly what Aris said.”

“Well, you think he's so smart, and I’m clearly a genius so it must be true.”

I rolled my eyes at his words, recognizing this as one of the times he couldn't possibly be sane.

“Hey, don't deny it,”He argued.

“Well, I certainly won't agree with it.”

“Does being with someone just make you sassy? Am I about to have this type of attitude?”

“You already do,”I reminded him.

“Oh right.”

I don't always know what to make of Thomas. I’ll admit that.

He’s my best friend though so I seriously shouldn't think too much into it.

I was so close to finishing every book I own. The thought of actually completing the collection left me kind of giddy. There's just something about having these stories at my fingertips and appreciating them that leaves me excited.

Aris was an obstacle to that, doing everything to have me all to himself.

“That’ll be twice this week you don't give me attention before bed though,”He complained, nuzzling his face further in my neck as he wrapped his hands firmer around my stomach.

“It's a book you brought me,”I shrugged, hoping that would help.

“But I need you to cuddle back,”He whined.

“Cuddle with the cat.”

“I don't know where she is.”

“Y/N-
“I will cuddle with ya’. You’ll just be asleep.”

“No.”

“Aris-”
“No,”He repeated, trying to copy my action from a night not too long ago and wrapping one of his legs around my stomach. Sighing, I placed my book open on its spot right next to me. Only then did he manage to turn me on my back and get both his knees on my sides. Grabbing my hands, he locked our fingers together as he placed them beside my head, looking at me with a triumphant grin.

“Aris,”I fake complained, just wiggling my hands to add to the struggle. Ignoring it, he leaned down, pressing his mouth against mine. Shutting my eyes, I kissed back, my lips moving in sync with his.

Practically melting into the kiss, he held my face in his hands as he leaned closer to me, his face squished against mine. I could taste the coffee on his tongue, matching his scent. No wonder he's so full of energy. At the same time, I can't exactly say I don't love the flavor. As long as it comes from him of course.

He pulled away for air for only a second before kissing me again, smiling against my lips.

This is great. It really is. And he's a damn good kisser. I have to give him that credit, and I’ll be the only one who ever gets to, which is a bonus. It's just that my book has dragons in it. I can kiss him any time I want. I can't just go outside and see a dragon.
