YESEUL SLUMPED at her desk in the dimly lit studio, her materials scattered across the table, untouched. The clock ticked closer to 6 PM, but her camera remained in its case, and the once-bright ideas for her exhibition felt like distant memories.

Her mind was elsewhere- floating in a chaotic sea of whispers, stares and comments that seemed to echo louder than her own thoughts. Desperate for an escape, she picked up her phone, hoping for a distraction.

Instead, the screen was flooded with notifications.

Her heart sank as she read the heart-stabbing comments under her newest post: Whore. Slut. Playing both brothers, huh?

Yeseul groaned, burying her face in her hands. Shutting off the screen, she let out a heavy sigh. What did she even expect?

The soft click of the studio door opening made her freeze. Her pulse quickened, and she didn't know why, but a small part of her thought- hoped- it might be Heeseung.

Instead, Sunghoon's familiar smile greeted her as he stepped in, a small box in his hand.

"Hey," he said casually, glancing at the untouched equipment scattered around her.

Something like disappointment bloomed faintly in her chest, but she quickly shoved it aside, forcing a polite smile. "Oh, hey. What's up?"

Without answering, he handed her the box.

"What's this?" she asked, blinking at him in confusion.

"Open it," he said, his voice light and teasing.

She did as he said, peeling back the lid to reveal her favourite tiramisu cake, the delicate layers of cream and coffee practically gleaming under the soft studio light.

Her eyes widened. "How did you...?"

"I asked Chaerin," Sunghoon replied with a shrug. "She said this is your favourite."

Yeseul stared at the cake, a pang of guilt twisting in her chest. Here was Sunghoon, going out of his way to bring her something thoughtful, while all she'd done was wallow in confusion over his brother.

"You didn't have to do this," she murmured, trying to muster a genuine smile.

"It's fine," he said with an easy grin. "You needed food anyway."

A pause settled between them, the quiet hum of the studio filling the space.

Sunghoon suddenly took the box from her hands, leaving her blinking in surprise. "Uhh?" she mumbled, watching as he opened it and picked up a small wooden fork from inside.
