"do you always hide behind your camera, or is it just around me?"
"i don't hide. i just don't waste my time on people who think they're better than everyone else."

THE RAIN hasn't started yet, but the air feels like it's holding its breath.
Yeseul presses her fingertips to her lips.
Its been hours, maybe more. She doesn't know how long she's been awake, staring at the ceiling, staring at nothing.
Because she kissed him.
Or he kissed her. Or maybe it was both.
The moment replays in her head like a cruel, broken film reel- the way the world around them felt unreal, the way his fingers curled against her wrist, the way neither of them had stepped away immediately.
She should regret it.
She should feel something- guilt, shame, anything.
But all she feel is the quiet hum of something unresolved.
Something that has been waiting to happen.
And maybe that's what scares her the most.
She sits up. The room is dim, and outside the window, the sky is a dull shade of gray. The air feels off.
A part of her wonders if it's just the world or her.
There's a knock at her door.
She already knows who it is.
When she opens it, Sunghoon stands there.
For a moment, neither of them speak.
His hands are shoved into the pockets of his jacket, but his eyes- his eyes are watching her too carefully.
Something tightens in his chest.
"We need to talk," he says.
Yeseul exhales, "Not right now-"
"Don't do that." His voice is quiet but firm. "Don't act like nothing happened."
She looks away. She wants to shut the door, but she doesn't.
They end up outside. It's cold, but she barely feels it.
Sunghoon stands a few feet away, arms crossed. There's no anger in his face, but something else.
