20th August, 2032.

Seoul was colder than she remembered.

Yeseul tightened her coat around her as she stepped into the grand exhibition hall. The air smelled of polished wood, fresh paint, and faint traces of expensive perfume. The murmurs of the well-dressed guests filled the space, discussing the photographs in hushed voices.

She kept her head down, eyes skimming over the displayed photographs, but it was useless- Seoul was still Seoul. The past lingered in every street, every building, every half-forgotten memory.

And no matter how much she tried to forget, he was still here.

Not in the way she once knew, but in the way that ghosts clung to the bones of a city.

She hadn't set foot in Seoul in seven years.

She might have not returned at all if not for the invitation.

The gallery director had personally reached out, insisting that she attend. Yeseul almost refused, but in the end, she told herself that she'd stop chasing ghosts. It was just another event. Another night. Another city.

She could leave after this.

That was the plan.

Then, across the room, she saw him.

Sunghoon.

He stood near one of the exhibitis, hands in his pockets, posture easy but refined. He looked different- older, sharper, a man who had carved his own place in the world.

Unlike her, he had stayed.

Their gazes met.

For a moment, neither of them moved.

Then, Sunghoon gave her a small, easy smile. "Seo."

She exhaled, something uncoiling in her chest. "Didn't expect to see you here, huh?"

"I live here," he reminded her, amused.

She let out a quiet laugh, shaking her head. "Right. Of course."

A pause.

"How's life treating you?" he asked.

''Exhausting," she admitted. "But fulfilling."

Sunghoon hummed. "I figured. I saw your most recent interview."
