YESEUL TRUDGED through the streets, her frustration growing with each step. The city was far larger than she had imagined, and finding an affordable apartment in a decent neighborhood was proving to be an impossible task. Every available place was either far beyond budget or either occupied.

As she was about to give up and head back to her temporary accommodation, she stumbled upon a small apartment building tucked away in a quieter part of the town. The sign outside read "Apartment Available" in faded letters. With nothing to lose, she decided to check it out.

The landlord, an elderly man with a kind smile, greeted her and led her to the last available unit. It was small, but cozy, with enough space for her to settle in comfortably. Most importantly, it was within her budget.

"You've got good timing", the landlord said as they toured the space. "This is the last unit available. The others are all occupied."

Yeseul perked up at that, "Who lives in the other apartments?"

"Just a few young people like yourself. It's a quiet building. I think you'll like it here", the landlord replied, a little vague but reassuring.

The apartment ticked all the boxes- affordable, decent condition, and not too far from the university. Without much hesitation, she decided to take it.

A few days later, after signing the lease and moving in, Yeseul was busy unpacking her boxes when she heard familiar voices from the hallway. They were muffled but distinct enough to catch her attention. She froze, the sound striking a chord in her memory.

It wasn't long before she recognized the voices as those of Heeseung and Sunghoon. Her heard raced as the reality of the situation hit her- the two brothers whose relationship with her were anything but were her new neighbors.

She barely had time to process this when she heard the front door upstairs creak open, followed by footsteps coming down the stairs. Sunghoon appeared first, carrying a large box, followed by Heeseung, who looked less than thrilled about moving.

Yeseul got up and reluctantly stood on her doorway, no fucking way in hell-

As they passed by her door, Sunghoon glanced her way and did a double-take. "Yeseul?", he asked, surprise evident in his voice. "You live here?"

Yeseul nodded, trying to appear calm and despite the sudden rush of emotions. "Yeah. I just moved in. You guys live here too?"

Sunghoon chuckled, "Yeah, we just moved in. I guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other."

Heeseung who had remained silent, glanced at her briefly, his expression unreadable. He gave a curt nod but didn't say anything, continuing to carry the box upstairs.

Yeseul's mind raced. Of all the apartments in the city, she had ended up in the same building as them. She didn't know whether to laugh at the coincidence or dread the inevitable tension that would arise sooner or later.
