"do you always hide behind your camera, or is it just around me?"
"i don't hide. i just don't waste my time on people who think they're better than everyone else."

THE LATE afternoon sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm, golden light over the Han River. Yeseul and Sunghoon strolled along the riverbank, the photoshoot winding down. The breeze was soft against their skin, and the laughter of children playing nearby filled the air with a sense of serenity. Yeseul couldn't but feel a certain lightness, a strange contentment she hadn't felt in a long time.
Sunghoon, walking beside her, glanced over with a mischevious smile. "You know," he said, breaking the comfortable silence, "we've taken enough pictures for today. How about we do something different now?"
Yeseul tilted her head, curiosity sparking in her eyes. "Like what?"
But before she could press for more, Sunghoon grabbed her hand, his grip firm but playful, and started leading her away from the river. "Come on, you'll see," he said, his tone light, as if it were the most natural thing in the world to whisk her away without explanation.
Yeseul stumbled slightly, caught off guard by his sudden burst of energy. "Wait, where are we going?" she asked, laughing despite herself. Sunghoon's excitement was infectious, and despite her confusion, she didn't resist. There was something about him- maybe it was his confidence or the way he seemed to genuinely enjoy surprising her- that made her want to follow along.
After a short walk, they found themselves standing in front of a small cosmetic shop, it's windows glowing warmly under the evening sky. Yeseul blinked, momentarily taken aback by the change of scenery.
"A cosmetic shop?" she asked, looking up at the sign, then back at Sunghoon with incredulity. "Really? You dragged me all the way here for this?"
Sunghoon grinned, unbothered by her skepticism. He pushed open the door and gestured for her to enter. "Come on, Yeseul. You've got to treat yourself every now and then. Besides, I think you could use some new stuff."
Yeseul hesitated at the threshold, uncertainty flickering in her eyes. Shopping for makeup wasn't exactly what she had planned for the day, but the look on Sunghoon's face made it hard to refuse. With a resigned sigh, she stepped inside, the door chiming softly behind her.
The shop was small but well-lit, with shelves lined with all sorts of makeup, skincare products, and accessories. The air was lightly scented with vanilla and rose, and Yeseul felt a bit out of place amidst the neatly arranged displays. Sunghoon, on the other hand, seemed perfectly at ease as he began browsing the shelves, picking up different items and examining them with genuine interest.
"Sunghoon, you really didn't have to bring me here," Yeseul murmured, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of products. "I'm not even sure what to get."
He turned to her with a reassuring smile, holding up a small bronzer case. "That's why I'm here. I can help you choose something. Besides, you deserve it."
