Trophy had started coming to the mansion more often. At first, it was just occasional, checking in, lingering for a bit. But now? If there wasn't a challenge running, there was a pretty good chance he was there.

Today was one of those days.

He was stretched out in Knife's room, lounging like he owned the place. Legs kicked up on Knife's old reclining chair, one he definitely didn't need, but kept anyway. Trophy had a boba drink in hand, idly sipping from it while scrolling through his phone, completely relaxed.

Well... mostly.

Knife had gone off to deal with Bow and Dough for a bit, leaving Trophy alone, which he didn't mind. It was quiet. Calm.

A second later, Knife phased back into the room with an annoyed sigh.

"Ugh... sorry about that. They're so loud," he muttered, floating over. Trophy didn't look up.

Knife hovered in front of him, waiting.

Nothing.

"...Hey, dumbass. Look up."

Trophy took another sip of his drink, completely unbothered, then tilted his phone slightly to show the screen, some random video he was clearly more interested in.

Knife stared at it for half a second.

Then grumbled, and dove straight into the phone. The screen flickered wildly before he forced it out of Trophy's hands and chucked it onto the floor.

"HEY—!" Trophy shot upright. "Dickhead! I was watching that!" He set his drink down quickly before it spilled, glaring up at him. "God, how desperate are you for attention? You can't even leave me alone for five minutes?"

Knife reappeared in front of him, unfazed.

"Well, it's not like I get visitors all the time," he shot back, rolling his eyes. Then his expression shifted into something more playful. "Besides... what's wrong with wanting a little attention~?"

He drifted around Trophy slowly, circling him like he always did when he was in one of those moods.

Trophy groaned, looking away.

"Ugh... you're so weird." There was a faint blush creeping onto his face despite himself. "Why do I even come here? We don't even do anything..." he muttered, slumping slightly in the chair. "I thought this would be more... I dunno. Less boring."

Knife perked up at that.

"Oh?" he snickered, floating closer again. "What did you have in mind?"

He leaned in just enough to be annoying.

"Gonna let me possess you~?" His grin widened, sharp ghost teeth flashing.

Trophy recoiled immediately. "Ew! No—what is wrong with you? I'm not letting you anywhere near my body!" he snapped. "Not happening. Ever."

"Aww, come on, Trophy~" Knife pressed, clearly entertained. "Might be fun. You won't know unless you try."

"Yeah, no thanks," Trophy shot back. "Who knows what you'd do? I'm not risking that. You'd have to be insane to think I'd agree to that."

Knife let out an exaggerated sigh, flopping dramatically in midair.

"God, you're so boring, Troph."

Before Trophy could respond, Knife dropped down, landing across his lap.
