"Love! Love! Ada? Are you okay?"
Ada immediately woke up, checking himself and even looking under the blanket. He was fully clothed. He touched his body-there was no pain.
"Are you okay, love? It seems like you had a dream," Rhythm asked with deep concern.
Ada let out a relieved sigh. That dream was intense. And this wasn't the first time he had dreamt about it.
He nodded. "Hmm... I-I'm okay. What happened?" he asked. Rhythm noticed the redness on Ada's face. He smiled and shook his head.
"Why are you smiling?" Ada squinted his eyes, not liking the smirk on Rhythm's face.
"Nothing, love. I just find you really pretty. And I'm so happy to always be by your side," Rhythm said. But Ada wasn't buying it.
"I don't believe you," Ada pouted.
"Then at least tell me about your dreams?"
Instead of answering, Ada lay back down and covered himself with the blanket. He never told Rhythm about his dreams, feeling too embarrassed to share them. This always happened after they shared a kiss-his mind would conjure up vivid scenarios in his sleep, making him believe things had actually happened. He thought he had already lost his innocence. But no, not now. He hadn't even graduated yet. He hadn't even reached half of his goals. Not now. Especially given his current condition.
He felt Rhythm wrap his arms around him, his breath carrying the fresh scent of menthol.
"Love, why don't you tell me? Don't tell me you're dreaming about some other guy? Or... other girls, perhaps?" Rhythm teased.
Ada shook his head frantically.
'No way, I can't let Rhythm know what I've been dreaming about. That would be so embarrassing! What would he think of me?' Ada thought to himself.
Rhythm gently pulled him to face him, wrapping his arms around him tightly. Ada could feel the firmness of both their bodies pressing together.
"Then, if you really don't want to tell me, I'll tell you something instead."
Ada immediately looked up at him.
"You don't have to be shy with me, okay? I always tell you this-you're my partner, and I'm yours."
Ada could feel the sincerity in Rhythm's words. There was also a hint of something else, something he wasn't sure he was ready for. He buried his face in Rhythm's neck as Rhythm's hand gently ran down his back, sending shivers through his body.
"Like you, I always imagine things," Rhythm admitted. "But not to the point that I touch myself. I still respect you."
Ada looked up at him, eyes wide in shock. Rhythm chuckled, knowing how embarrassed Ada must feel.
"And it's normal. Right now, we're feeling things for each other. But we're not going to do anything yet. First, because we're still young. And second, I know you're not ready, and I respect that. But... ahm..."
"Ahm what? Say it, Rhythm. Did I do something while I was sleeping?"
Rhythm pulled him in for a hug and kissed his forehead.
"Y-you..." Rhythm hesitated.
"Me what? Tell me! You're making me nervous," Ada pressed.
"You... you kissed me. Torridly. And... you touched..."
"TOUCHED WHAT?!?"
Ada bolted upright in bed, his face burning with embarrassment. Rhythm sat up as well.
