Ada's POV:
If someone had told me years ago — back when I was just a nobody secretly crushing on the untouchable Ice Prince — that one day I’d be married to Rhythm and raising three wonderful children with him, I would’ve laughed. Or maybe cried. Because back then, he was my dream… and I thought I wasn’t worth a second of his time.
But here we are now.
I sat in the garden of our family home, the late afternoon sun painting everything in gold. My hands were resting on my lap, a cup of warm tea untouched beside me, because my eyes were fixed on the sight in front of me. Rhythm — older now, silver streaks beginning to show in his once jet-black hair — was laughing with our twins, Raiden and Adryiel, as they argued playfully over who could fix the broken fence faster. The sound of their laughter still makes my chest feel warm.
Inside the house, Aiden was in the kitchen, his element. The smell of freshly baked bread wafted through the air, a reminder of how far he’d come. He wasn’t the little boy who used to cling to me in fear anymore. He was now a famous baker-chef, running the very hotel that once belonged to my father-in-law, Gulf. The hotel is thriving under his hands, and sometimes, I see the glimmer of my younger self in him — ambitious, hardworking, but with more courage than I ever had at his age.
The twins are carving their own paths, too. Raiden has my quiet strength, but Rhythm’s sharp wit. Adryiel, on the other hand, inherited Rhythm’s charm but has my patience. They are not perfect, but they are ours. They are proof of the life we built despite the storms.
“Why are you smiling like that?” Rhythm’s voice broke my thoughts. He had come up behind me, sliding his arms around my shoulders like he always does, possessive even now, after all these years.
I leaned back into his warmth, smiling. “Just thinking how far we’ve come.”
He pressed a kiss against my temple. “You mean how you managed to melt my ice heart?”
I laughed softly. “You were impossible to deal with back then. Cold, arrogant, untouchable. And yet… I still loved you.”
“You still do,” he said with a smirk, tightening his hold.
“And I always will,” I whispered, my eyes soft. “Even when I thought I was just a nobody trying to reach for gold… you showed me, I was worth it. That maybe I wasn’t just chasing gold — because you, Rhythm, were the one chasing me all along.”
He turned me slightly to face him, his eyes serious. “You were never a nobody, Ada. You were the one person who saw me for who I really was. Not the Ice Prince, not the heir, not the name. Just… me. And that’s why I’ll always be yours.”
I touched his cheek, tracing the faint lines of age that had begun to show. “And you’re still as possessive as ever.”
He chuckled. “Possessive of what’s mine. And you are mine, always.”
Silence lingered between us for a moment, but it wasn’t empty. It was full. Full of years, of love, of fights, of forgiveness, of second chances.
When I look back at our journey, I realize something important. Love isn’t about perfection. It’s about endurance. About choosing each other even when it hurts, even when the past threatens to destroy you. It’s about patience — the kind that waits five years, ten years, even a lifetime if needed. And it’s about forgiveness — not forgetting, but healing together.
I’ve learned that sometimes the people we think will break us are the very ones who will help us rebuild. Sometimes, the ones who seem coldest are the ones who need love the most.
And if there’s anything I could pass on — to my children, to anyone who listens — it’s this:
Love will test you. It will break you. But if it’s real, it will always find its way back. And when it does, it will be stronger, steadier, and more beautiful than you ever imagined.
Rhythm squeezed my hand, grounding me in the present. “What are you thinking now?”
I smiled at him, tears brimming my eyes, but my heart was full. “That we did it, Rhythm. We survived everything. And we’re still here… together. Our silent hearts… finally at peace.”
He kissed me softly, tenderly, and when we pulled apart, the voices of our children filled the air — laughter, teasing, joy. The melody of a life once thought impossible.
And I knew, deep in my heart, and proudly say I successfully broken the ice heart for good. And now his my husband. ❤️🤟
