The mansion was quiet, everyone in a deep sleep. The only sound was the faint hum of the AC and the soft rustling of the curtains. Ada stirred, feeling uncomfortable. He opened his eyes and frowned — his belly felt unusually hard, and there was no movement.

He sat up slowly, reaching down to touch his bump. "Babies?" he whispered nervously, waiting for a kick. Nothing.

Cold sweat began to form on his forehead.

"Ada?" Rhythm's sleepy voice came from beside him, groggy. "What's wrong?"

Ada turned, panicked. "They're not moving. Rhythm, my tummy is so hard—" He winced suddenly as a sharp pain hit him. "Ow! Rhythm, I think—ahhh!"

Rhythm shot out of bed, fully awake now. "Oh no—oh no, Ada, don't panic. Don't panic, okay? We're going to the hospital right now."

"Don't panic?!" Ada snapped, gripping the headboard. "I'm literally in pain! And it's your fault!"

Rhythm blinked, panicking but confused. "My fault?!"

"Yes! If you didn't—if you didn't keep touching in the office that day—!" Ada groaned as another wave of pain hit.

Rhythm tried to hide a small nervous laugh. "Love, this is not the time to blame me—"

Ada grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at his face. "I WILL blame you!"

Within seconds, the entire mansion was awake. Gulf and Mew came rushing in first, followed by Ada's parents.

"What's happening?!" Mommy Gulf asked, rushing to Ada's side.

"I think he's in labor!" Rhythm said, pacing like a maniac.

"Then what are you standing there for?!" Gulf snapped, smacking Rhythm on the arm. "Get the car!"

"I—I am! I mean—I will!" Rhythm scrambled to find the hospital bag.

Ada groaned, holding his belly. "Hurry up before I give birth in the car!"

By the time they reached the hospital, Ada was in full-blown labor, holding Rhythm's shirt so tightly that his knuckles were white.

"You!" Ada groaned as another contraction hit. "This is YOUR fault!"

Rhythm blinked, startled. "What—what do you mean my fault?"

"You made me pregnant!" Ada yelled, then winced as another wave of pain washed over him.

Rhythm was trying not to laugh — mostly out of fear. "I—well—yes—but this is not the time to blame me—"
