The days passed peacefully between Ada and Rhythm. Though they couldn't always avoid minor arguments, they managed to resolve things quickly. Rhythm was still possessive, but Ada had learned to understand and embrace it. Their love had matured—it was deep, grounded, and real.

One evening, Rhythm invited his parents, Mew and Gulf, for a quiet dinner. He was visibly nervous, fingers tapping the table as he waited for the right moment.

When the meal ended and Tyronne was upstairs going to sleep, Rhythm cleared his throat.

“Mama, Dad,” he began, voice firm but soft. “I’ve decided… I’m not going to the US anymore. I’m staying.”
Gulf glanced at Mew, and then they both smiled knowingly.

“We know,” Mew said with a calm laugh, reaching for his wine glass.

Rhythm blinked. “Wait, what? How?”

“We’re your parents, Rhythm,” Gulf chimed in. “We knew the moment you started dating Ada. Your plans changed the day he came into your life.”

Rhythm looked down, a small embarrassed smile tugging at his lips. “I thought you’d be disappointed…”

“Why would we be?” Mew reached over to squeeze his son’s hand.

“Look at you. You smile more. You’re lighter, happier. We’ve never seen you this inspired before.”

“I was nervous… It was my long-time plan,” Rhythm admitted.

Gulf shook his head with a fond grin. “Plans can change when something more important comes along. Or someone.”

Mew leaned back and added, “Just promise us one thing—love Ada with everything you have. Take care of him. He’s one of a kind.”

Rhythm nodded, his eyes softening. “I will. I promise.”

“And know this,” Gulf said with a proud smile. “The whole family loves Ada. Even Shine and Kyle’s little girl looks up to him. But Tyronne? That boy worships him. You made the right choice, son.”

Rhythm looked up, eyes a little glassy but glowing with warmth. He felt it deep in his chest—he had made the right decision. Not just because he loved Ada, but because his home, his heart, was finally complete.

The auditorium erupted in applause as Ada’s name was called for the Highest Honor. Ada stood up, eyes wide in disbelief, his heart pounding. He walked slowly to the stage, expecting a school official to meet him—but instead, his breath hitched when he saw Rhythm, already waiting, holding the medal with a proud smile.

“Love?” Ada whispered, stunned.

Rhythm grinned. “Your parents asked me to be the one to put this on you. They said… "no one deserves it more than you.”

As he gently placed the medal around Ada’s neck, he leaned forward and kissed his forehead. “Congratulations, love. I’m so proud of you.”

The entire auditorium murmured in surprise and admiration. Ada’s cheeks turned crimson, but his smile shone brighter than his medal.

After the graduation, The clinking of glasses and soft background music filled the elegant private dining room. Both families were seated around a long table, surrounded by laughter and stories about Rhythm and Ada’s school days. The night was warm, filled with gratitude and joy.

Suddenly, Mew cleared his throat, raising his glass with a meaningful smile.

“Before we end the night, I’d like to share something that Ada’s dad and I have been thinking about..” Mew said.
