The next morning, Ada forced himself to smile while cooking breakfast. He wanted to push away the nightmare of Anggie, even if the memories kept haunting him. Rhythm noticed the way Ada tried so hard, his movements slower than usual, but his determination steady.

Rhythm leaned against the counter, smirking. "You're burning the eggs again, my wife."

Ada rolled his eyes, flipping the pan too quickly. "If you keep calling me that, I might really serve you burnt eggs."

Rhythm laughed, stepping behind him and wrapping his arms around Ada's waist. "Even if you do, I'll still eat them. Because it's from you."

Ada pretended to sigh, but his lips twitched. "Sweet talker."

After breakfast, they got ready to leave. But as they stepped out of their condo, the usual playful argument began.

"Rhythm, I told you I can go by myself," Ada said while adjusting his bag. "It takes you one hour to get back from the hotel to Thompson Building. You'll be late."

Rhythm shook his head firmly, pressing the elevator button. "And I told you, I don't care. You're my priority."

"Rhy..." Ada frowned. "You always win these arguments."

"That's because I'm always right." Rhythm grinned, making Ada swat his arm.

When they reached the hotel, Ada's co-interns giggled seeing Rhythm fuss over Ada, even carrying his bag until the last step.

"See you later, love," Rhythm said, leaning closer to kiss Ada's forehead in front of everyone.

"Rhy!" Ada flushed red. "You're embarrassing me."

His co-interns squealed, whispering. "They're so cute!"

Just then, Gulf appeared, clipboard in hand, discussing with staff. Rhythm immediately greeted him. "Hi, Mom. Just dropping Ada off."

Ada quickly bowed his head with a wai, shy and flustered. "Good morning, Sir Gulf."

Gulf gave him a gentle smile. "Morning, Guys. Rhy, Take care while driving. see you again.." His tone was warm, but his eyes, as always, carried a certain sharpness that made Ada straighten immediately.

Because Gulf handled a big client, Ada often crossed paths with him. Gulf was strict and observant, leaving Ada no room for error. Ada knew he had to prove himself—that he was here not because of connections, but because of his capability.

His department head, Naomi, often reminded the interns: "Mr. Gulf expects perfection. Don't give him a reason to frown."

One afternoon, Ada witnessed Gulf shouting at employees after a guest complained about a messy room. Everyone froze; even the senior staff trembled. Ada promised himself he wouldn't be the reason Gulf got mad.
