Rhythm stood motionless, watching Ada walk away, feeling the crushing weight of his own mistakes. His heart twisted as he realized how badly he had messed up. He couldn't blame Ada for feeling the way he did—he knew it was all his fault. His thoughts were interrupted when Ceidence and Treyton appeared in the hallway, having witnessed the entire confrontation.
Ceidence stepped forward, his face full of concern. "How did it go? Did you talk?" he asked softly.
Rhythm nodded, but his eyes were still clouded with regret. "Are you okay?" Ceidence asked, his voice gentle.
Rhythm shook his head, the sorrow in his chest almost suffocating. "It's my fault," he murmured, his voice raw. "And now he doesn't believe anything I say. I messed up... big time. I know it's my fault."
Treyton, who had been watching quietly, finally spoke up with a kind smile. "Ada is such a genuine and pure person. He doesn't deserve this."
Rhythm's chest tightened with the truth of Treyton's words. Ada had always been so trusting, so open with him, and it was him who had broken that trust. "I know," Rhythm said, his voice barely above a whisper. "And now I have to show him that my feelings are real. I have to prove it. I'll do whatever it takes to make it right."
Treyton placed a hand on Rhythm's shoulder, his voice reassuring. "You can do it, Rhy. Ada deserves someone who will show him real love."
Rhythm took a deep breath, the weight of the moment still heavy but now accompanied by a newfound determination. He wasn't going to let Ada slip away. "I won't give up. This time, I'm the one who's going to prove to him how much he means to me. I'll make him fall in love with me again."
Ceidence and Treyton exchanged a glance, seeing the resolve in Rhythm's eyes. They could tell he wasn't backing down.
"Good luck, Rhy," Treyton said, his voice full of encouragement. "We're behind you." Ceidence look at Treyton and chuckled. "Gosh! my baby brother is inlove. how's the taste?" Rhythm rolls his eyes and hop in the car.
Rhythm nodded, gratitude shining in his eyes. He wasn't going to let Ada walk out of his life—not without a fight. No matter what it took, he would prove that his love for Ada was real. Time... I need to give him time, he thought. But I'm running out of time.
The realization hit him like a punch to the gut—graduation was just around the corner. In two weeks, they would all be heading in different directions, and he might lose Ada forever if he didn't do something soon.
When Rhythm arrived home, he immediately made his way to his room and locked the door behind him. His heart was heavy, and his mind was racing with everything that had happened. He quickly grabbed his bag and took out the notebook.
Sitting on the edge of his bed, he opened to a blank page and began writing. The words flowed slowly at first, but as his hand moved across the paper, he felt a sense of purpose. After a few moments, he leaned back and took a deep breath, looking down at what he had written.
It wasn't much, but it was everything he needed to say.
"I don't know if this will work, but I'll try my best to win your heart again."
Rhythm stared at the words for a long moment, his heart aching. He knew that words alone might not be enough to fix everything he had broken, but he had to start somewhere.
