"Ada! We're going to be late. Hurry up." My sister said.

"Okay, I'm coming." I said as I stuffed all the bread into my mouth. I went to bed late last night because I was super excited.

Three years have passed since I found out I got a scholarship to a school that everyone dreams of, LUV U. I was lucky, and my whole family was overjoyed with the news. Except for our neighbor. What's new?

By the way, I'm not as rich as you might think. I'm not ashamed of where my family comes from. My mom works at a bar, and my dad is a bouncer there. My mom is called a whore, bitch, or whatever else people call women who provide men with temporary happiness. But this didn't stop her from taking care of us, her children.

Well, change of topic. There are five of us siblings. I have older brothers and sisters who are super overprotective of me. Maybe because I'm special and the youngest. I have an ability that others don't have. I'm bi, and I'm not ashamed of it. My whole family knows and supports me.

My older brothers and sisters have their own families now. Only my next oldest sibling and I are still studying. Due to the difficulties of life, they couldn't finish school. And I am the one who will break that cycle of poverty. That's why I'm striving hard to prove that I'm not just anybody.

"Bye, Ada!" said my nephew, Eli, one of my brother's children. Among all my nieces and nephews, he is the one who always wakes up early. He also wakes me up by kissing my cheek. He is four years old and one of my most possessive nephews.

"Bye, my baby." I kissed him and giggled when I saw him frown. He hates the word "baby" because he says...

"I'm not a baby, Ada!" And he hugged me tightly. That's always his line when he's called "baby." Sometimes he treats me more like a parent than his own parents.

My sister walked me to the gate. We don't go to the same school because she goes to a public school and I go to a private one. Our schools aren't far from each other, but she always walks me to and from school so we can go home together.

"Message me if you have any problems, fight back, and don't let anyone bully you. We may be poor, but we're not just anybody." I laughed because that's the line of our whole family. "Naughty as ever!" my sister said with a laugh as she ruffled my hair. We both laughed, but we were surprised by a loud honk. We quickly stepped aside as the big gate opened.

A flashy car, blindingly shiny, passed through. My sister frowned.

"So arrogant," my sister said. But my eyes widened when I realized who it was. I shook my sister.

"Sister! That's Mr. Icy!" I squealed. She covered her ears.

"I know. Why do you like him? So arrogant. Tsk!"

"Bye now! My future husband has arrived." I kissed her on the forehead.

"You're like that when he's around, you set me aside." She pretended to pout but was smiling. "Go on inside. I'm late."

When I entered the classroom, it was quiet. So quiet you could hear a heartbeat. I slowly sat down and carefully took out my book and notebook for the first subject this morning.

My seat was near the window and I could see the whole field, and I was lucky because next to me was Mr. Icy. There were only 15 of us in the class, and I could say it was the quietest classroom I'd ever seen. We were in Grade 10, and in a few months, it would be graduation.

When I was in Grade 7, I was in the middle-class section, meaning my classmates weren't that rich and could just afford the tuition. I was just there because of my scholarship. But when Grade 8 came, I was placed in the section called "Royals," meaning the kids of rich people and among the 10 richest in the country. I didn't know why I was included. The whole school was shaken by the news because first, I'm not rich in money, maybe in the love of my parents and siblings. Maybe that's why I was included in this section. I guess.
