"Love! Wake up. We're going to be late!" Ada threw a pillow at Rhythm. Good thing Rhythm dodged just in time. Ada, clearly still sleepy, looked at him with furrowed brows.
Ada ignored him and pulled the blanket over his head, trying to go back to sleep. Rhythm walked closer and sat on the bed.
"Loveeeeee..."
"Whatttt! Can't you see I'm still sleeping?" Ada said in annoyance.
"But we have school." Rhythm replied. Ada sat up and glared at him. "You can go back to sleep later." Rhythm already expected their morning would go like this, so he had already prepared breakfast and laid out Ada's clothes. They had a steamy night and ended things late.
"You knew that, and yet you still kept pushing last night." Ada pouted.
"But you insisted on one more round," Rhythm replied, which earned him another hit from Ada.
"I hate you!"
"I love you too," Rhythm said and kissed Ada.
They left the condo together. It had been a year since they graduated from high school. They had decided to live together in a condo. Ada was initially against it, but he was surprised when his parents gave their blessing. As for Rhythm, it wasn't a problem at all. Mew was the one who gave them the unit and arranged everything for them. House help comes monthly to clean up.
They still attended the same school, but took different courses-Rhythm in Business Administration, and Ada pursuing Hospitality Management. He remained a scholar, but Rhythm now provided for everything else he needed. They once argued about it because Ada wanted to find a part-time job, but Rhythm wouldn't allow it. Ada didn't want to depend on him too much, but Rhythm said he wanted Ada to focus solely on his studies, on him, and on his family. Rhythm even asked Ada's parents for permission to do this. Eventually, Ada gave in.
It's not that he didn't appreciate Rhythm's support-he just didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of him. Deep down, Ada still feared that their relationship wasn't secured yet. He didn't want to grow too used to always having Rhythm by his side.
As soon as they stepped out of the car, the familiar hustle and bustle of campus life greeted them. Students were scattered around the courtyard-some rushing to class, others chatting in groups, enjoying the morning sun.
Ada adjusted the strap of his bag while Rhythm walked beside him, one hand lightly brushing against Ada's as if itching to hold it but knowing they were in public.
"Don't look at me like that, we're in school," Ada whispered, catching Rhythm's soft gaze on him.
"But I can't help it," Rhythm smirked, leaning in a little. "You look cute when you're sleepy and grumpy. I want you again."
Ada rolled his eyes, cheeks slightly flushed. "Stop flirting and hurry. You have class in ten. And I'm still sore. As you remember We just finished this morning, aren't you tired yet? "
"I know, You know that when it comes to you, I'll never get tired of you, right?" Rhythm sighed dramatically. "Can't I ditch and follow you instead?"
"No," Ada said firmly. "You promised you'd stop skipping."
"Okay, okay," Rhythm chuckled, raising his hands in surrender. ""Does it still hurt?" he asked worriedly. "I put a patch in your bag. Let's go to the bathroom, I'll put it on your back."
"No, its okay. I'll do it later. thank you." He smiled to rhythm finally.
As they passed through the hallway, a few students greeted them. Most already knew the two were together, but there was still a mix of admiration and envy, especially from those who knew Rhythm as the untouchable "Ice Prince" back then.
