Waves echo the symphony,
As heart slows to match the pace
Starry night, no clouds in view,
Eyes above as the moon follows
All the world is asleep,
Stories of past are forgotten myths
Cogs and wheels of the world go still
Future is a faraway land,
As this moment stretches beyond eternity's pages
These waters revel in the moonlit glow,
Each wave seeks proximity to her loving beau
Like a pearl hidden in an oyster's lock,
Their clandestine affair shines brightest under the raven light
World comes alive atop the crow's nest,
Sails flutter as the cool wind strikes
Mast stands sentinel for the sleeping crew
There is peace to be had in the watcher's role
There is joy to be found in world's slumber
