Gentle as the breeze,
Swaying curls to its soft melody
Sweet as the honey,
Dripping off the dipper
Small drops of salvation,
Adding life to each tongue
Love arrives to douse the flames,
The rampant reminders of the world and its ache.
Love is glimpsed in people's eyes,
In moments that don't surpass a minute
Love pulls their lips in joy,
Smiles to forget the misery abound.
Love shines in all its glory,
In the innocent gestures of children
Love coaxes a prayer out of sorrow-twisted lips,
Begging for another day in their loved ones' arms.
The symphony of heart beats,
Amidst the jarring cacophony
A hope that lights the candles,
In the pupils of a humanity,
To strive hard for a better morrow.
Love is my redemption,
As your sweet lips move against mine
Love is my medicine,
As your fingers trace my verses
Love is my power,
Against the decay of the world
Love is that string,
That ties sanity to my lane.
