Hey, sorrow, lovely mistress of mine,
Love doesn't hold a place nearer,
Joy cannot hold a candle to our joy,
Together, my sweet lover, even as I'm laid down
with showers of Earth
You, jealous mistress! It's only been a minute apart!
Don't you worry, darling, this soul is marked
Your loving touch paints me blue,
The kind of blue that shines in a lonely night
I've seen your touch on others,
Soothing whispers through the ears
Ain't our love enough?
I feel it deeply, hold my hand
You're mine, sweetheart, you're mine
You know I shed tears of green
when you paint an other blue
I've offered everything, don't throw it all away
It's only your hands that I worship,
It's only your touch that I ache for,
My lover of decades and more,
Consume me in that decaying embrace,
I long to be yours.
