What do you do when familiar arms push you?
When hugs paint grimaces on your face?
How do you show love when you fear being cast away?
How to shed tears when anger is still here?
What to do? That's the refrain.
They're not feeling well,
You know that
They're not feeling well,
You wish they shared the pain
But you're a stranger to their pain,
Their sorrow hides from your inquisitive eyes
What to do? That's the refrain.
How to embrace when uncertainty looms above?
How to make them smile
when all they do is shun you to the cold?
How many times should you try
before you give up?
What to do? That's the refrain.
The cold has consumed you once,
Numb and shivering
You hate it and you want to scream,
"I'm there, why can't you see?"
But you don't know how,
Do you?
What to do? That's the refrain.
