In love's shadow we walk,
In love's shadow we tread,
They say the light is nigh,
And the blight might try,
Try all it can to mar my pride
But, me and my tribe,
We saunter through the foliage,
Our heads still held high. (x2?)
(CHORUS?)
They whisper all 'round the corners,
Love's shadows can paint your heart black
But, I see all around me,
Hands swaying to its melody
Hearts that outshine gold,
These hearts that bloom anew.
To love's first light we march,
For love's first light we thirst
This forest and its murky waters,
Its ground streaked with lingering demons,
They sought to break us,
But, strength is all they gave,
So, onwards and upwards,
Love's first light beckons.
(BRIDGE?)
Oh, these woods and the maidens they foster,
Shower of pain falls down to nurture
With each crack carving our heart's surface,
Scars glinting in the silver light,
Love's reborn and it's blooming forth
So, for your sake,
Darling I'm coming through
Oh, the light shines through.......
(CHORUS?)
They whisper all 'round the corners,
Love's shadows are daggers,
They slit your heart in two
But, I see all around me,
Hands swaying to its melody,
Hearts that blaze so bright,
These hearts that rise anew.
Oh, love's healing touch,
Oh, love's lingering scent
You infiltrated my veins,
All that flows out of me,
Is everything you filled me with.
Brace yourselves humanity,
This march draws to an end,
The shadow parts with a silent goodbye,
But, a whispered promise,
It'll visit again
Oh, Tomorrow is the day,
Yeah, it's the day humanity's saviors are born.
