Carmen woke up the next morning lying in Johnny's arms. "Hi." She said with a smile.
"Hey." He said.
They both chuckled thinking over the impulsive event from the night before.
"Mmm... Last night was..."
"Yeah, it was."
"So, where do we go from here?"
Johnny sighed a little, "I don't know. I don't have much in the fridge. I could fry--"
Carmen giggled, "I meant with us. You're my son's teacher. I'm not sure how this works."
"Me neither." The man admitted. "I don't wanna screw things up with Miguel."
"I don't want that either."
"Then again, you're pretty hot." Johnny grinned. That made him and Carmen burst out laughing.
"So are you." She propped herself up on one elbow.
"Thanks."
"So... what do we do?
"I don't know." He sighed. "It's been a while since I've been in this situation."
"What's the matter, Sensei? Can't let your guard down? Or too scared?" Carmen glanced at the time and rolled off the bed. "I have to get to work. I'm working late tonight, covering for a friend." She began to get dressed. "But... maybe we can talk more when I get home?"
"Definitely."
"Okay." She leaned in and kissed him.
When she left, he got up and dressed. Walking into the kitchen, Johnny poured himself a bowel of cereal with some milk.
He heard a message chime from his laptop, so he sat down in front of it and message the long awaited reply from his old ex-girlfriend, Ali Mills. He was so surprised by it that he nearly spat out his cereal. He read the message aloud to himself.
*Hey, Johnny. Sorry it took so long to reply. Things have been crazy over here. I love the new pictures. I'm actually in town for the holidays. Want to get lunch?*
Pondering on the idea, he glanced up out of the apartment window to see Carmen exiting her apartment in her pink nurse scrubs for work.

Phoebe woke up when the alarm blared through the room. Grumbling while turning it off, she picked up her phone and smiled when she looked at the screen. Hawk had texted her good morning with lots of kisses.
*Good morning babe. Good luck at the dojo today xxx*
*Thanks. Can't wait for the entire day to end xxx*
*Why? xxx*
*Some of us are thinking of going to the zoo after class. If I get caught, I need you to bail me out xxx*
*Do I even want to know why? xxx*

*Of course I will babe. The zoo is quite far xxx*
