The three ladies at the Christmas party had moved away from the the bar and were drinking and laughing happily at a nearby table. The three men sat at the same table, not enjoying the laughter as it was at their expense.
"Wait, wait, wait... How the hell was he dressed like a shower?" Amanda asked about her husband about his costume at the Halloween dance in 1984. "What does that even look like?"
Ali almost died laughing to answer. "It was hysterical." Then she spoke about Johnny. "And then this one comes running out, joining the others." She motioned her finger at the two ex-Cobras. "These two were dressed like a toddlers in skeleton pajamas, chasing him down!"
That's when Sophie began laughing hysterically. "This is gold."
"Oh god, stop! I can't--"
"Maybe we can fast forward a little bit." Daniel said, knowing he wouldn't be able to live this down with his wife.
Johnny agreed with him, "Yeah, fast forward."
"Anyway, it just got worse and worse until the tournament." The men shared a knowing look as Ali explained further. "Then they pretty much left each other alone. I thought that was that."
"So, their rivalry wasn't the reason you and Daniel broke up?" Amanda wondered.
"Oh, no. That's a whole other story."
"We don't need to get into all that--"
"I'd like to hear it." The blonde haired Sensei smiled in amusement.
Mrs LaRusso leaned in. She wanted to hear more embarrassing stories from her husband's old ex-girlfriend. "I must hear it."
"Long story short, I got into UCLA and I ran into this guy I knew who went there. Daniel saw me talking to my friend.."
Daniel put into air quotes. "'Your friend'."
"Yes actually. My friend. You jumped to conclusions. And I guess I egged you on, because I was upset."
Daniel couldn't believe his ears. He realised she may be right, and it hit him like a ton of bricks. "Whoa... I'm sorry, I thought you were really in love with the guy."
"I tried to tell you. Just like I tried to tell you the brakes on Mr. Miyagi's car were gonna go. I hope you didn't tell him it was my fault it crashed."
"No. Of course not." Daniel took a guilty sip of his drink, remembering that he did blame it on her.
Meanwhile, Johnny cackled with glee at his rivals' expense. "Oh my god, this is the best story I've ever heard! Keep going!"
Ali turned to him as her next target, "Oh! Should we talk about what a great boyfriend you were?"
The man shook his head, worried about what she was going to say. "No. No, thank you."
"Yes! Finally." Daniel grinned. "The shrapnel can hit his side of the table."
"I guess both our heads were pretty far up our own asses back then."
"Whose wasn't in high school?"
"Oh, mine was so far up there, I could see out my mouth." Amanda considered what she just said for a moment. "Does that make sense or did the wine say that?"
Ali laughed as Amanda took another sip of wine, "I just hope our kids are more evolved than we were at their age."
"Any embarrassing stories about George to tell Ali?" Sophie asked her.
"Oh, I didn't know him well enough back then."
"Johnny?"
Johnny looked to George, who in turn glared at him. He looked to his friend's wife. "Other than his insane smoking habit? No, there's nothing to tell."
