The Serpent Queen

December 19 | Part Four

Miguel and Kyler were locked in battle in the kitchen. He backed Kyler up into the kitchen where Hawk was fighting.

"Come on, Rhea!" Kyler goaded.

They exchanged hits, blocks, and punches. Until the bully used a wrestling move to flip Miguel over and slam him to the floor, and Miguel landed hard onto his still healing back, holding it in pain.

Kyler turned to Hawk, who had just taken down a Miyagi-Do student. "Hell yeah, man!" He high fived him. "These losers never had a chance!" Then he dived right back into the fight.

Hawk looked around where he could see of the other fights on the downstairs floor. He saw that Miguel had lost to Kyler, Chris losing to a Cobra, Penis Breath was getting pummelled by a Cobra, Bert and Nate getting slammed into each other by a Cobra, and Demetri getting beat by Rickenberger and Mikey. He focused on that.

Demetri got kneed by Rickenberger twice and got his arm twisted into the same arm bar that he had put him in during the night he never wanted to think about again.

"Hey Hawk! Free shot!" Rickenberger called out to him.

Hawk's eyes wandered over to Phoebe, who stood next to him. He felt anger that the Cobras wanted him to break Demetri's arm again. He wouldn't do it. The look he gave his girlfriend said that much. His face hardened as he turned back to Demetri, who looked hopeless, preparing himself for his arm to be annihilated again by him.

He ran across the house over to them and leapt into the air. He kicked Mikey in the face with both feet and then kicked Rickenberger. Still in midair, he managed to snake his arm around the Cobra's neck. His feet found the ground, and with his arm still around Doug, he sent him dow crashing into the glass coffee table.

Hawk turned his head back to Phoebe as she smiled to him. He had just taken down his first two Cobras of the night. He was no longer one of them, he thought himself unofficially an Eagle. He looked to Demetri to see his shocked face. Stepping towards him make the teen back up in fear.

"Look, man. I'm sorry, for everything. For all of it." He glanced to Phoebe again.

Demetri followed his eye line for a second to her. She nodded to him, which made him feel a little better. But it was still strange.

"Do you wanna help me win this thing?" Hawk asked him.

Demetri smiled a little, "Yeah."

Hawk smiled and they engaged in a bro-handshake. The binary brothers were back together.

Hawk ducked under a punch from Rickenberger and he slid under Demetri's arm and kicked a Cobra in the face, while Demetri punched a Cobra in the face.

The two reunited friends stood in their fighting stances, back to back. They managed to fight against four different Cobras, even taking down one into a unit of furniture while kicking him at the same time.

Phoebe stood on the dining room table with Big Red and another Cobra attacking her. She ducked under several kicks.

Seeing her boyfriend and cousin being friendly again and the little fake fight reinvigorated her. It put her back in the fighting spirit.

She managed to kick the legs out and shove the Cobra from the table so hard that he tumbled over the couch and into the remains of the glass coffee table. That left her and Big Red on the table.

She managed to beat him to a pulp and right off the table. With her victory, she stepped down from the table. She was thankful that Hawk came over to her and helped her down properly after finishing his fight against the Cobras with Demetri.
