I wake up the next morning with pure joy and excitement. I skim through my closet looking for what I had planned to wear. Finally I found the brown sweater and cream pants that Cedric promised to match and a deep sigh of relief fills my body.
"Goldie? Are you up?" Mom asks, knocking softly on my door.
"Yeah! Getting dressed now!"
"Okay! I've got breakfast all ready for you and Cedric in your office. I'll send him there when he gets here."
"Okay! Thank you!" I quickly get ready and rush down to my office, hoping Cedric might already be there. He is not, so I start collecting books and putting them back where they belong. I set out two plates before hearing a soft knock on the door. It's Dad.
"Rules?" he states, stepping into the room.
"Door must stay open and the lights are on. He cannot go upstairs to my room and I may not go into the guest room while he is here. Anyone could walk into the room at anytime and that should keep anything from happening. All good, Dad?" He smiles and ruffles my hair.
"Perfect, of course, flower," he says, "you'll tell your boy the rules too?"
"Yep, and you'll send him right up here when he gets here? With no bullying?" He pauses and kisses my forehead quickly.
"I make no promises," he whispers, before rushing back downstairs. I giggle and continue to get everything ready. I hear the door and nearly break my neck. I lean out the door and listen to my parents great Cedric.
"Good morning, Mr. Potter... Mrs. Potter."
"Hello, Cedric. Goldie's up in her office with food... I'm sure she's waiting for you."
"Thank you..."
"And I'll take your bag to your room. It's downstairs, Harry can show it to you later." I hear a few footsteps going up the stairs, so I run back into the office. I try to contain my excitement as I hear him get up to the second floor. I have to bite my lip to keep from squealing when he walks into view.
"Hey, darling," he says, allowing me to jump right up into his arms. He chuckles as he adjusts his arms to carry me into the office. I cuddle my nose into the crook of his neck and he slowly sinks into a chair.
"Hi," I whisper, "How are you?"
"I'm good," he replies, "how about you?" I smile and tighten my grip around him.
"Good... definitely not ready to go back to school." He laughs.
"Yeah, I agree... but we've still got some time, don't worry, love." Then he brushes some hair out of my face and kisses my cheek.
"Want some breakfast?" He smiles and holds my face in his hands. I smile back, knowing exactly what he wants.
"The door has to stay open," I whisper to him, "just so you know." He tilts his head and just keeps smiling. I press a quick kiss to his lips, still feeling his smile against my lip. I pull away a little, but he follows me for another. He slowly pulls away from me and ruffles my hair lightly.
"Okay... now we can eat."

"I cannot believe that those skates still fit!" Cedric says, as we walk down to the frozen lake, "Have you not grown any?"
"My feet haven't, I guess..." I reply, taking his hand, "and besides... I'd be so sad if I couldn't use these anymore. They're gorgeous." He smiles and pulls me close to him. I hear a scolding cough, but I ignore it. We get down to the pond and start to put our skates on. Harry sits between Cedric and I with a huff.
"You don't have to be Dad's mini me," I whisper to him, but he just laughs.
"Don't worry... Uncle Sirius actually put me up to it." I stick my tongue out, but he just smiles back. Cedric helps me stand up and we take off. Ara and Evie start quickly after us, and then Harry. Ginny nearly crashes into my poor brother before Ron grabs her.
"I wish we had a pond to skate on at my house," Cedric says, "I love skating." I smile and move out in front of him before turning to skate backwards.
"Look at you... getting a little more sure of yourself, are you?" I just smile before skating off towards Ara. I grab around her waist and she giggles.
"Don't take me down, Goldie," she says, "I'm still not used to this." I smile at how tight she's holding Evie's hand.
"You're doing great, Ara... a lot better than I was doing my third or fourth time." She smiles and nods.
"Your boy's gonna get lonely," Harry states, startling us at how close he was, "or he's going to burn a hole in your back from staring." I glare at my brother before looking over at Cedric. My necklace quickly flashes a deep teal, but quickly turns to yellow with a swirl of orange and pink. I skate back over to him and he grabs me. He spins me around making me laugh.
"You know its been over a year since I gave you that ring, love," he whispers in my ear, "and its almost our one year." I smile.
"Yep... and what are we going to do? I really don't think you could out do our actual date."
"Is that a challenge, my love?" I smirk, teasing him with a scrunch of my nose. He chuckles and spins me around.
"Well... challenge accepted." I giggle as we continue to skate around. He talks to me about his break and how his O.W.L.s studying was going. A weird feeling hits me suddenly at the fact that he won't be at Hogwarts for as long as me.
"What am I going to do when you aren't at Hogwarts?" I whimper, "two whole years without you..." He grabs me and we skid to a halt.
"Hey... that's like two years from now," he comforts, "we don't have to worry about that now, alright? Cross that bridge when we get to it." I smile and nod.
"Sorry... I ruined the mood." He kisses my cheek quickly before rubbing my back.
"You didn't ruin anything, love. It's good to talk about this, even if its very much a future us problem." My smile only widens and I see his necklace flash pink and white. He must have seen it too, cause he pulls me into his chest and won't let go.
