Leah's POV
That evening, we all sat at the tv. My mom and Cam were watching tv while my dad and I were on our laptops.
He was probably doing something for his work, since he and mom left tomorrow evening again. But I was writing some more. I finally had finished my second story and wanted to start a third. I decided to write about my fear, my fear for darkness and Cam's obsession.
I made it a little more dramatic by using a witch. This witch will represent Cam's crazy behavior. And the 'normal' person will be her normal person, because she's really fun to hang out with.
While I was writing, I noticed I had a new message. I decided to look at it and saw someone had commented about my second book 'Challenge accepted!'. I replied back and went back to writing.
Eventually I wrote the whole evening and also talked to this online person the whole evening, she seemed nice.
When I was done, Cam was looking at me, with this creepy face.
I slowly pushed her further away from me and got up. "Bye mom, bye dad." I said and kissed them both on their cheek.
"Bye sweetie, bye Cam." they said in unison.
We went to my room, Cam walking behind me in the dark, which I actually didn't like. It scared me, which I actually thought was weird, because she's my best friend. I guess writing about fear of the dark and using Cam's crazy behavior as a dark figure must've made me scared...
Anyway, we arrived at my room and went to lay in bed. We both layed on our back, looking at the ceiling.
"So," Cam started, making me look at her. "What now?"
I raised my eyebrows. "Now we sleep." I said and reached for the sheets.
Cam turned off the lights and turned around, her back was facing me while mine was facing hers. I looked around, I hate darkness.
After a few seconds, I was starting to breath faster.
I heard Cam moving behind me and that's when her arms were around me. "Hey, it's alright, I'm here." she said soft and kissed below my ear. "I can't believe I forgot you were scared of the dark."
I scooted closer to her, wanting to feel some comfort.
Cam shushed me and eventually I relaxed. See why she's an amazing friend? She knows exactly what to do, as long as she doesn't cross the line of course.
The whole night, I stayed in Cam's comfortable arms. I felt safe in them, but it wasn't the same as when I'd be in T's arms. Nothing was better than that.

The next day, Cam and me worked some more on the project, it was starting to go well until my parents came to say goodbye.
"So," dad said as he and mom walked to me. They both gave me a long kiss on my cheek and forehead. "We'll be going now, we'll see you next Saturday. Don't mind calling us sometimes, sweetie."
"I will."
Mom smiled and looked at Cam. "And I hope to see you too Saturday?"
Cam smiled and nodded. "I'd love to."
"Next time we'll see you you'll be 18... I can't believe it's going so fast." she said, starting to sniffle. "I remember when you and Leah were just babies, playing around on your blankets..."
"Mom!"
Cam looked at me and smiled. "It's alright, it's fun to hear these stories."
Mom smiled at her and afterwards looked at me. "Make sure she gets an amazing 18th birthday, sweetie."
"Don't worry, I already have everything planned. And of course my love is the guest of honor." she said as she took my hand and kissed it.
"Honey, we have to leave." dad said as he took his suitcase. "Bye sweetie, have fun!"
Mom hurried after him. "Bye sweetie!" and they were gone.
Cam looked back at me. "I can't believe it either... 18... I'll be 18... Time goes by so quick."
"Yeah." I said and looked down. "Cam, thanks for last night."
She looked at me as if she didn't know what I was talking about.
"For comforting me in the dark..."
"Oh, right. It was the right thing to do."
I smiled. "Thanks."
She smiled too. "You're welcome." she said as she started getting ready. "You sure you don't want me to stay? I mean, you were pretty scared last night, I don't know if you'll handle yourself all alone."
"I'm sure." I said and helped her pack, I wanted to go back to T, my lovely girlfriend. "Don't worry about me."
Cam took my chin, making me look at her. "I'll always be worried, my love."
I pulled her hand away and walked to the door. "Bye Cam, I'll see you tomorrow."
Cam walked to me and smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow, I love you." she said, looking me straight in the eyes.
"I love you too."
She smiled, kissed my cheek and left.
I closed the door and sighed. It was getting dark outside... I took my phone and called T. "Hey baby."
I smiled, hearing her voice. "Hey baby, could you maybe come and pick me up?"
I didn't see her but I could easily imagine her smiling right now, I knew she wanted to do that. "I'm on my way."
"Alright, thanks, I'll be waiting outside."
"I'll hurry."
I smiled big. "I'll see you soon."
"Yeah." and with that, she hung up.
I took my backpack and some more clothes for the week. I turned off all the lights, locked the whole place and went outside. I looked around, searching for T's car.
It's moments like this that I wonder if Cam's still nearby. I knew she was spying on me, that was no secret. But I do wonder if she's here now, when it's dark...
I looked around and saw no one, only the few cars that were passing by. She must've gone home right away. Good thing to do, Cam.
Suddenly a car pulled up, and there I saw my lovely girlfriend, smiling at me. I smiled back and hurried to the car. I opened the backdoor and put my backpack and other bag on the backseat. After that I went to sit at front, next to her.
"I'v missed you so much." I said and kissed her deeply.
T immediately wrapped her arms around me and pulled me closer. "I've missed you too, our home isn't the same without you." she said and smiled.
I smiled too. "Let's go home, baby." I said and so she started the car.
