Leah's POV
After that lunch, we spend a whole afternoon shopping. We entered so many shops, we laughed so much... I swear to other people, we'd seem like we were high. Which we weren't obviously.
We went from one shop to another one. Every time I liked something, Kat told me to try it on. And when I did, she always was there as an 'audience' and judge. She'd clap her hands if she thought it was good and she'd shook her head no if she thought it wasn't good.
She did the same but most things looked great on her and she loved to show everyone to which I laughed.
We had a lot of fun together, I'm happy I agreed on going with her.
But during this trip I never thought about looking at my phone, which I deeply regretted afterwards. Because, when I came home, all hell broke loose...

Talia's POV
When Leah had called me to tell me she was going out with her friends, I was kinda upset. Normally we'd spend all afternoon together: watching a movie, laying in the garden together, playing games together... I'd definitely miss that today.
I put my phone away and started the car, driving home. When I arrived, I got out and started making lunch for myself, I decided on eating a sandwich so my baby and I could eat something nice tonight. Maybe I should do some grocery shopping...
During lunch, I decided to do some school work so I'd have more time left with my baby tonight. I had a lot to grade but I loved marking papers. No, not to fail students! Papers, tests and exams were good indications on how students were doing with my subject. If they fail multiple times (just like my baby), I'd know and help them out.
It was 4 in the afternoon when I was ready with that. I looked at my phone, nothing from Leah... I texted her, saying: 'Hey baby, when are you getting home? I need to know what I can buy for dinner...'
After that, I put my phone in my pocket and went upstairs. I did some tasks around the house: doing the laundry (of me and my baby), folding some clothes and putting them back into my closet (including my baby's clothes), doing the dishes...
When I was done with that, I took my phone again. I already had sent her 5 texts and she didn't answer to any of them. I was getting worried. I tried again: 'Baby, everything alright?'
I sighed and felt really bad, I was really worried. Deciding I wasn't going to feel better unless I knew how she was, I called her. I waited and waited but she didn't answer. I tried again, but she didn't answer.
I sighed deep and was getting more worried. But I kept telling myself that it was nothing, that she was just having to much fun to look at her phone.
I decided to go get some things for tonight's dinner.
I went to the mall and looked around for everything I needed. I was going to make a good meal for us, I know my baby will need it. I also bought some chocolate, since I knew my baby loved that so much.
After I had found everything, I payed and left the store. When I was walking towards the exit of the huge mall, I saw a girl. She looked like Leah.
I sighed and smiled, even though that girl wasn't looking, she reminded me of my baby. Until she looked at me and her smile faded.
That's when the girl next to her turned around as well and that's when I saw Katherine!
My heart broke that instant. My baby had lied to me.
I was looking at them, my eyes getting watery. I slowly shook my head and turned around, sniffling. I went back to my car, putting my stuff away. I entered the car and started crying. Leah had lied to me.
After a few minutes, I tried to calm down so I looked at myself in the mirror and that's when I saw Leah running to my car. I wasn't in the mood to talk to her, so I started the car and locked all the doors.
Leah ran towards the passenger door and tried opening it. She knocked onto the window and tried talking to me, but instead of listening, I turned on the radio really loud. I really didn't want to hear anything from her now.
Leah kept trying over and over again, until she suddenly stopped and walked away. I looked into the mirror again and saw her talking to Katherine. Katherine looked at my car and then at Leah, but Leah waved her of, pulling her with her back to the mall.
I cried more and decided to drive back home.
When I arrived home, I put everything away, and layed down onto the couch. I stayed there for a few minutes before getting up again. I went to the kitchen and started making our dinner. I bought the ingredients, I was going to cook the meal too.
About 30 minutes later, Leah entered the house. "Baby?" she shouted through the house.
I didn't say anything, I kept focusing onto my cooking, I was almost done anyway.
Suddenly two arms wrapped around me from behind. "Baby?" she said soft and started softly pulling on me, she tried getting my attention. "Baby, please look at me."
I ignored her and brought everything to the table. I sat down and she sat down in front of me. She looked at me.
"Baby, I'm so sorry."
I looked at her, I was getting angry. "Sorry about lying or sorry about me finding out?!"
She looked shocked to hear this. "N-No, I-I mean for l-lying. I'm so so so sorry. I knew you didn't want me to hang around with Kat, but she's really nice and when she asked me to hang out, I just said yes. I couldn't tell you the truth because you'd say I couldn't go."
"There's a reason for that, Leah!"
She gulped and looked down.
"You've disappointed me so much." I said and sniffled.
Leah kept looking down. "I'm sorry."
"I don't want to hear it anymore." I said and took my fork and knife. "Bon appétit." I said and started eating.
