Leah's POV

And so the next day, I was waiting for Heather's first time teaching me alone. I had to admit, I was pretty nervous.

Anyway, I got ready, ate breakfast and waited for Charlotte. She was always first. Which I liked. I think out of all T's friends, she's my favorite. We can really talk, and it's not awkward. Mary is nice and sweet, but she's also very shy towards me. So there usually is a silence.

Soon the doorbell rang and that's when I hurried to the door, opening it for Charlotte. "Good morning, C."

"Good morning, Leah. Do I have a nickname too, now?" she chuckled while taking off her coat. "Now I feel special."

I chuckled as well. "I just tried it. I really have a thing for nicknames, with a few letters."

Charlotte chuckled. "Well I like it." We sat down in front of each other. "Ok, page 51."

I took it and looked at her. "So exercise three was a difficult one."

Charlotte got up and sat next to me. She looked at my homework. "Yeah you did the rest good, only exercise three not. Ok, we'll do that one together." she said and stood back up, walking to the whiteboard. "Ok, we begin here."

"Thanks for explaining, C." I said, smiling big at using her new nickname.

She looked at me, smiling. "You're very welcome, L."

I laughed a little. "Just L sounds weird."

She shrugged. "And just C isn't."

"No, it's good." I said, following her to the front door.

"That's because it's my letter." she said, sticking out her tongue while putting on her coat.

I chuckle while nudging her. "Sure."

She laughed. "I'm right, and you know it."

I rolled my eyes. "All of this because I shortened your name."

"Hey, I can't help being so good." she said, taking her bag.

I nudged her again. "Stop."

She laughed again and opened the door, and stopped laughing. At the other side, stood Heather, ready to knock. She was eager to start today. Mainly because our class starts in 20 minutes.

"Hey Heather." Charlotte said, moving to the side so Heather could enter.

"Hey Charlotte, Leah."

"Heather."

Charlotte seemed to feel the tension since she slowly walked backwards, she really wanted to leave me alone with Heather...

"So, I'll see you tomorrow, L." Charlotte said, sticking out her tongue.

I groaned. "Of course, bye C."

Charlotte laughed and got in her car, driving away. That's when I closed the door and looked at Heather. This was going to be awkward. "So, you're early."

She nodded. "I didn't want to be late."

I sighed deep. "Do you want a cup of coffee?"

She smiled a little. "I'd like that."

I nodded and walked to the kitchen. "Uhm, you can sit here." I said, motioning to the dinning table. "I'll be right back with your coffee."

Heather nodded and walked to the dinning table, probably putting her stuff ready.

I got her coffee and walked to her. "Here you go." I said, putting it down in front of her.

"Thanks." she said, taking a sip.

I sat down too, taking my books. "So do we start earlier and stop earlier? Or what do you have planned?"

Heather put the cup back down and looked at me. "Or we could have a longer class since you didn't had a proper class yesterday."

I groaned.

"Or not."

"No, you're right." I said, making her look at me. "It'll just be a long class."

"But we'll make the best out of this." she said, smiling. "So page 35."

"We did that yesterday." I said, showing her.

She took my book, looking at it. "And it's correct, that's good. Ok, the next page." she said, handing me my book back.

I looked at that page and knew how to do these exercises. I took my pen and started making them but Heather didn't like this and took my pen. "Hey!"

"I haven't even explained anything yet."

"But I know how to do these."

She stood up. "Leah, focus." she took the marker to write onto the whiteboard. She started explaining and I payed close attention to it. At least she could explain it, T couldn't. I had to smile, thinking back at my baby. How she tried explaining me something but she couldn't. For once I was smarter than her, and that felt really good.

"Leah! Come on, we can't work if you're daydreaming."

"I'm sorry." I said, again paying attention.

Heather was a good teacher, that's for sure. But she should realize that a teacher does more than talking. A teacher has to include the student. I mean, Mary, Charlotte and T were all doing that. They were explaining things to me, but they let me talk too. I couldn't even make a noise here or Heather would freak.

Finally after 30 minutes, Heather sat back down and looked at me. "Now, you can make the exercises." she said, handing me my pen back.

I took it and quickly made the exercises.

Heather was just sitting there, looking at me. That really stressed me.

I looked at her. "Uhm, you can do something else in the meantime."

She shook her head no. "A teacher's involved in her class. You're making exercises, I have to make sure you understand everything. I have to be focused on you."

I nodded and continued working on them. After a few minutes I was done. "Done."

Heather nodded and took my book. She checked my exercises. "This is wrong here." she said, pointing to one word."

"What's wrong?"

"You forgot the 's'." she said, writing it on.

"Oh, that's a stupid mistake."

Heather nodded. "It happens." she continued checking and then handed my book back. "Very good, I didn't know you were that good."

I smiled, now I felt really good. Finally she knew I wasn't stupid! "I practiced."

She nodded and smiled. "That's very good. I'm proud."

I smiled big, I couldn't help but be proud. "Thanks."

"Aww, you get all red."

I quickly covered my face. "No, I'm not."

That's when Heather took my hand. I looked at her and saw her looking at the ring. "Wow, it's really beautiful. You're very lucky to have her, you know."

I nodded. "I know."

Heather looked at me. "I can't wait to see the dresses."

I gulped. "Uhm, you're not invited anymore."

Her face got visibly sadder. "Oh right, I forgot." she said, sighed deep. "Well, I hope you'll have an amazing time, Talia too of course." she said, getting up. "Anyway, I need to go now. I'll see you tomorrow, bye Leah."

"Uhm bye Heather." and she was gone. That was so weird...
