Talia's POV

Seeing Heather's reaction... I expected bad but not this bad. She seemed very sad, very annoyed, very mad... I thought she'd be against this because she knows the risks, but come on. Her reaction was way to much.

I looked at Leah and saw her looking down. I lifted her chin, making her look at me. "Hey, are you ok?"

Leah looked down. "I don't know. I thought I'd feel good once your friends knew, but I never expected Heather to react like that. I mean, in her eyes I'm just a piece of trash."

"No, no, no." I said, cupping her face. "You aren't. She was just surprised."

"She was more than surprised, T." Leah said, looking down. "She hates me." she said, sniffling.

I pulled her closer and held her close. "It's going to be alright, I promise." I said and kissed her head multiple times.

We stayed like that for awhile, I think we were both looking for some comfort. Which we got from each other. I hope Heather will ever get used to this, I'm not planning on leaving Leah because of her.

"What class do you have now?"

She looked at me. "Science class."

I nodded, Charlotte's class. "Do you want me to write a note?" I asked to which she nodded. I took a piece of paper and quickly wrote some things down. "Here you go." I said and handed it to her. "And baby, don't worry so much, ok? I'll fix this."

She showed me a small smile and nodded. Then she left.

During lunch, I waited in my classroom, I knew Heather was going to come back here with Mary and Charlotte. She'd want to talk, obviously.

And so I waited and got ready to eat when suddenly Heather stormed in, and walking after her were Mary and Charlotte.

Heather sat onto a nearby desk, arms crossed, while the others sat down too. I looked at them, taking a bite of my sandwich. "So?"

"I told them." Heather said, motioning to Mary and Charlotte.

I nodded, swallowing the food. I looked at Mary and Charlotte. "What do you think?"

Mary and Charlotte looked at each other, then at me. "Honestly we never saw that coming." Mary started. "I mean, we always thought you were professional enough to stay away from students on that level."

I nodded, listening to her, taking another bite of my sandwich.

"But." Charlotte suddenly said, which made us all look at her. "We're also very happy for you, because we know Leah's a good girl."

At that I smiled. I put my sandwich down and swallowed the food. "Yeah, she really is. I love her so much. I know she's my student and we shouldn't be dating, but we found love. And I'm so happy to have her as mine."

Charlotte smiled. "We can see that. You're really happy."

I looked down and smiled.

"And now you're blushing." Mary said, smiling as well. "We're really happy you're happy, Talia. You deserve happiness and if Leah gives that to you, then we're happy for that."

"Thank you so much, you have no idea what - "

"Ok, enough of this!" Heather shouted, interrupting the conversation. She looked at Mary and Charlotte. "I can't believe you two are accepting this. I mean, come on, Leah's a stupid girl. She's not good enough for Talia."

I became so angry, hearing that. "Listen to me," I said, standing up, walking to her. "If you ever, EVER say something bad about MY Leah again," I said, invading her personal space. "I swear you don't want to know what I'll do."

Heather gulped.

Suddenly I felt someone pulling me back, it was Mary. "Listen Talia, we're accepting this, but it doesn't mean Heather can accept it either. You know how she is."

"I don't care if she accepts it or not, she can't insult my baby like that!"

Heather rolled her eyes. "She doesn't deserve to have you." she mumbled, but I heard her.

"Enough! I won't let you insult my baby any longer." I said, grabbing her wrist.

"I didn't even insult her!" Heather said, trying to break free.

"You can hate her all you want, it won't change anything between us. And if you want to be a hater, I suggest you do that outside." I said and threw her out of my classroom, then closed the door.

After that I walked back to my seat behind my desk. "I'm sorry, I just don't like people being mean to my baby."

"We saw that." Mary said, getting a chair and sitting with me, and so did Charlotte. "Just don't push away your friends. Heather's just concerned."

I rolled my eyes. "Sure she is. If she really was my friend, she'd be happy for me that I get married."

Mary and Charlotte nodded and had this big smile on their face. "So, when's the wedding?" Mary asked.

I smiled. "We haven't decided yet, I told Leah she could chose a date, but she hasn't done that yet."

"And uhm... Do you already know which people are invited?" Charlotte asked.

I smiled. "Of course you two are invited."

"Yes!" they said in unison. "We wouldn't want to miss our friend's wedding." Charlotte said.

"Is Heather invited too?" Mary asked, kinda ruining the mood.

I looked down. "I don't know. If she's against this relationship, I don't see the need of her to be there."

"She's your best friend, that's why she needs to be there." Mary said to which Charlotte nodded.

"What a best friend, she was so happy for me." I said, obviously being sarcastic.

"Just think about it, ok?" Charlotte asked to which I nodded.

"We'll see how she'll be in a few days." I said and took another bite of my sandwich.

After school, I was taking my stuff and putting it into my bag. I took my bag and walked to the door of my classroom, I locked it and continued making my way to my car. I can't wait to see Leah again. I smiled, thinking about her.

"Hey."

I turned around and saw Heather. I groaned. "What do you want?"

Heather walked to me and looked down. "I'm sorry."

I looked up, surprised to hear that. "What?"

She looked at me. "I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I don't want to fight." she said to which I smiled. "I just want what's best for you and Leah isn't that."

Almost I forgave her, almost! "I'm so done with this, Heather." I said and walked to my car, unlocking it.

"Come on Talia, you know I'm right."

I entered my car and locked the doors. I started the engine and left. I was so tired of her complaining! I was so angry, I can't believe her behavior!

But my anger disappeared when I saw my baby waiting at our spot. I parked and she entered, kissing me deeply. "I missed you."

I smiled. "I missed you too."
