Leah's POV
Ahh I loved this new life! Every day was so relaxing!
I mean, I could get up at 8 instead of 6.30. Then I could eat breakfast in my pajamas, and take all the time I needed. Since I didn't need to hurry to be in time for school, since school was here, at home. And I had a lot less homework. I loved my friends, who were teachers.
Life was amazing. Every day I got up with a big smile on my face. Everyday I really felt happy. I mean no one was here to make life hard for me.
I sighed, eating breakfast while relaxing onto the couch while I was watching tv. This was the good life.
Suddenly the doorbell rang.
I looked at the time, Charlotte should be here in 20 minutes... Why is she so early today? I put my bowl of cereal down onto the coffee table and got up.
I walked to the door and stopped, looking at my outfit: I was still in pajamas... Oh well she'll have to wait for me to get changed. She's too early anyway.
I opened the door and gasped.
"Hey Leah. Uhm... Can we talk?"
I closed my mouth and gulped. "No." I said, wanting to close the door but she held it by putting her foot between the door.
"Please, I only need 5 minutes."
I glared at her. "That's 5 minutes too much." I pushed the door more, I wanted it to close.
"Listen, I know I made a mistake." she said, still trying to keep the door open. "You have no reason to forgive me or to forget what I did, but please let me make it up to you."
I sighed deep, I hate that I can't stay mad at people. I slowly pulled the door open. "You have 5 minutes."
She nodded. "That's all I could ask for."
I moved aside so she could enter. We walked to the couch and sat down, next to each other. I took my bowl of cereal. "Talk." After that, I ate.
She nodded and looked down. "I've heard you're homeschooled now. Which is super cool, but tell me. It's not because of what happened between us, right?"
I sighed deep. "Kat, just because you launched yourself at me, doesn't mean I'm running away from you. I got the option and decided to do it. It's a very relaxing life."
She nodded. "I bet. I'd love that too. Maybe I can join you." she joked and chuckled a little.
I kept looking at her with a straight face.
Her chuckle quickly stopped and she looked down. "Uhm... I'm sorry, Leah. I really am. I can't help these feelings I have for you. I wish I didn't have them so we'd still be close friends, but I can't help it, can I?"
I looked at her, she was kinda right. I sighed deep. "I'm sorry too."
She looked at me, probably surprised to hear this.
"I should've been honest with you from the start. I just didn't want you to find out that..." I looked down, how was I going to safe myself here now...
"That you're dating your teacher?"
I looked up, eyes widened.
"You really think I didn't know who lived here?" she asked, raising one eyebrow. "When I first moved in, she walked by and offered help. Afterwards I saw her walk to this house and get in. So I pretty much knew."
"Wait, you knew I was dating and you still kissed me?"
"I'm really sorry for that. Listen I really don't want to come in between you two because she's an amazing person and so are you. I'm very sure you two must be amazing together." she said and smiled a little. "I really wish the best for you two."
I couldn't help but to blush. "Thanks, really."
She nodded and slowly got up. "I think my 5 minutes are over."
I nodded slowly and got up too. "I guess so."
We walked to the door. "I really hope we can meet up again, as friends." she said and smiled a little. "You know where to find me, don't hesitate to visit me if you need anything."
I nodded. "Thanks, Kat."
"You're welcome." she said and opened the door. And there was another surprise. Kat looked at me and then at the uninvited guest. "Uhm, I'll get going. Bye Leah, Miss Stone."
I glared at Heather, I really hate her. She has done so many bad things and I'm sure she doesn't even care. "Heather." I said, not hiding the fact I was annoyed that she was here.
"Leah." she said in the exact same tone.
"What do you want?"
She looked down before looking back up at me. "I want to make it up to Talia."
I laughed humorless. "You messed up really bad."
She nodded. "I know, and that's why I want your help to make it up to her."
I gasped. "What makes you think I'd help you? You almost ruined our relationship."
"Almost."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, this bitch was trying to talk good about her actions. "What?!"
"Listen, I'm going to make up to Talia by offering my help to you."
"I don't need or want your help. I'm happy without you in our lives." I said, folding my arms. "You're no good to our relationship or our happiness."
She sighed deep. "I just want to show you that I don't mean bad. I am very against this relationship, but in the end, all I want is for Talia to be happy. Even if it's with... you."
"Wow, now I feel good." I said, rolling my eyes and wanting to close the door. "No, thanks."
She held the door. "I'm begging you, please help me."
I looked down. I can't, I can't help her. But I have to. I hate this situation. "No."
"Please, I really want to make it up to you both."
I stopped pushing and sighed deep, opening the door slowly. "What do you want me to do?"
She smiled. "Thanks."
"Just tell me what you want to do."
She nodded and gulped, was she nervous? "I uhm... I'd love to be your personal teacher as well."
My jaw dropped. "W-what?"
