—First Person POV.—

Eijiro's been staying over the past few nights, ever since the ghost incident that nearly killed us.

Or, well, actually killed him— I just.. Haven't gotten around to giving him the whole truth. So far, all he seems to think is that he got knocked out when he hit the floor.

That's it.

Still, I can't really accept the whole 'ghosts attacking us' thing without feeling like I'm about to spiral—

My worries only spiked more after finding out the guy I'd bumped into on campus had been the ghost that'd followed us to my house after realizing it could interact with me for some reason.

From what Katsuki let me know, some of those 'extras' tend to try and possess people because they think they can finally complete their unfinished business afterwards.

How touching.

To my surprise, this past week had been surprisingly quiet.

Katsuki hadn't made any sudden midnight appearances, no more blood-curdling screams from me in the middle of the night, and most importantly—no new ghosts seemed to show up.

Just the usual college stress, crusty ramen cups, and pretending I wasn't actively suppressing a full mental breakdown every time I glanced at the knife still perched like a smug little gargoyle on my nightstand.

Furthermore, the demon mostly stayed hidden, which would've been a relief— If not for the two separate times I opened my closet and saw him curled up in his pile of stolen snacks like a nesting bird.

The first time, his wings were draped over his body like a blanket, horns barely visible through a mess of ash-blonde hair as he snored over an empty ramen cup.

I screamed so loud the neighbor's dog barked for ten minutes straight.

Thursday night, I finally worked up the nerve to clean out the snack hoard.

It was a war zone—crumpled wrappers, dried hot sauce, and a sad trail of Flamin' Hot mac & cheese powder that led straight to my dresser.

By the time I was done, I'd filled an entire trash bag and at the bottom of the pile sat two jars of hot sauce left—one was unopened, so I set it aside until I was done and left it near the closet door.

A peace offering or a bribe— Honestly, same thing at this point.

That same night, just as Eijiro and I were brushing our teeth, I heard Katsuki muttering about 'starving' as he watched us from the doorway.

I spit my toothpaste straight into the sink and huffed "You've literally eaten a dead spirit and my entire pantry— I think you'll survive."

Crimson eyes flicked our way before he finished flossing his sharp teeth and brushed past me to head down the hall.
