DIANA'S POV
Training was not always easy, but I had to make sure we were ready for whatever came next. As I watched and guided a couple, young warriors on Themyscira, I received an incoming call from Batman.
I answered,"Yes, Bruce?"
He chuckled and said,"Superman needs you for something; he said it was important."
I responded with,"Okay, anything else?"
Bruce sighed and said,"No, but just be careful, Diana."
I smiled and replied,"You, too, Bruce."
I let my mother, Hippolyta, know I was going to leave Themyscira and headed towards Metropolis. Knowing this was Clark's territory, I decided to call him.
When he did not answer, I panicked. It wasn't like him not to answer the first time. I flew into his apartment.
Clark's apartment appeared to be in disarray; however, Clark was sitting on the bed. His hair was messed up, and his face was in his hands. I definitely didn't want to leave him this way, so I had to do something.
I flew over to him and hugged him saying,"What is wrong, Clark?"
He just shook his head and hugged me back.
I sighed and lifted his chin saying,"Clark, please tell me what is wrong. You have not been the same lately, and something is bothering you. I just want to help. We all do."
Clark's eyes met mine, and he put his hands over mine saying,"I love you. That is the problem, Diana. I want to spend every minute I can with you. I want to be there for you. You mean the world to me, and nothing will ever change that. I care about you, and I would do anything to protect you. I may just be a reporter, but I know I can trust you and count on you. Diana, I love you."
I smiled through my tears and kissed him saying,"I love you, too, Clark. I love you, too."
He shyly kissed back and held me close to him. I laughed and snuggled into his side.
I asked him,"Should you not be doing something right now?"
Clark facepalmed and flew out the window. I smiled and followed him. I caught up to Clark and flew beside him.
He winked at me, before he contacted Bruce.
Bruce answered saying,"Were you busy doing something else Clark, because Diana never answered either?"
I knew Bruce too well to know he was smirking right now. Bruce just couldn't help but figure everything out, but I knew he had good intentions with his teasing.
Clark blushed and I chuckled, placing a kiss on his cheek.
Clark blushed even more and stuttered saying,"N...No, B...Bruce, we...we w...were j...just t...talking."
I heard Bruce say,"Uh huh. Well, get over here when you can. If you are too busy, I will get Flash and Lantern over here."
Clark smiled at me before saying,"You know Bruce, call them. I have a date to take Diana on."
Bruce chuckled and said,"All right, Boy Scout. I will call them in. Tell Diana I said have fun, but do not forget about our meeting as a team later. I need her in thinking position. Got it, Kent?"
Clark sighed saying,"Got it, Bruce."
Bruce signed off and Clark flew over to me holding me close saying,"I love you, Wonder Woman."
I smiled and kiss him saying,"I love you, too, Superman."
