Terry x Reader Part 1

   Y/N'S POV

  Right now, I was lying upside down on my bed in my bedroom. My older sister, Maxine, came in and sat down beside me.

  "Yes, sis?"

  Max smiled back at me and let me know that she needed to talk to me. I slowly sat up and crossed my legs, while I waited for Max to start talking.

  She took my hand and said,"Terry called and he said he should be coming to pick you up in a few minutes. Until then, is everything going okay between you guys?"

  I nodded and said,"Yes, Max, things are fine. I...I just know Terry's going to be here for me, but I have been a little upset and insecure because I ran into his ex-girlfriend. I do not remember her name, but I am sure you know her."

  Maxine nodded and figured it was best to not mention her name in front of me.

  Max put her hand over mine and kissed my cheek saying,"It is okay, sis. Trust me, Terry and you will be fine. I know it is hard because of your race difference, but Terry will love you no less. Honey, that does not matter to him. Go get cleaned up. I will be downstairs if you need me, okay?"

  I nodded and wiped my face saying,"Thanks, Max. I love you."

  Max hugged me tight, before she kissed my forehead saying,"I love you, too, sis."

  I smiled weakly and got undressed, before I stepped into the shower. I washed up real good, before I rinsed off and placed a towel around my body. I carefully stepped out of the shower, only for the doorbell to go off.
 
  That must be Terry.

  I jogged down the stairs and opened the door.

  Terry smiled down at me and said,"Hey, baby. May I come in, beautiful?"

  I nodded saying,"Yeah, come on in."

  Terry held my chin and kissed my cheek, before he walked past me and crashed down on the sofa. He greeted Max and Max distracted Terry with some information she had learned, so I could have more time to get dressed. I took forever.

  I rushed up the stairs and put on my F/C dress with some beautiful, gold-hooped earrings. I tried to zip the back of my dress, but my arms were not long enough. I groaned in frustration, automatically yelling Terry's name.

  Terry ran into the bathroom and examined me, but he noticed what I was wearing.

  His jaw dropped, and he smiled saying,"Wow."

  I smiled and shyly asked him,"Ter, can you help me with my dress, please?"

  Terry nodded and pecked my lips saying,"Sure, baby."

  I could feel Terry behind me, which made my breath quicken. Terry held onto my left hand, while he did my zipper with his free hand. He then squeezed my side, and I immediately squealed in surprise. Terry chuckled and finished zipping up my dress, before he helped me put on my heels. I kissed him in thank you, but Terry decided to hold on to the kiss. Terry smirked in the kiss, while I tried not to faint from how long this was lasting. Luckily, Mom walked in.

  Mom cleared her throat, and Terry immediately pulled away from me.

  She leaned on the door frame saying,"Mr. McGinnis."

  Terry blushed, while I hid my face in his jacket. Mom just chuckled, before Terry led me outside. He intertwined his fingers with mine, before we walked to our dinner.

  Terry noticed I was silent and said,"Babe, is everything okay? You can talk to me, if there is something going on."

  Terry stopped me from walking, by keeping a hold of my waist.

  I put my hand on his arm, stressing to him,"Not here, Terry. Baby, can we please wait till we actually get inside?"

  Terry sensed the fear in my voice, so he nodded and turned us around.

  I asked Terry confused,"Baby, where are we going? It is right there. I am sorry if I-"

  I was cut off by Terry kissing me passionately.

  I kissed back, and Terry slowly pulled away saying,"No, it is nothing you did. Change of plans."

  I noticed that determined look in his eyes and made Terry look at me.

  Terry held onto me, and I looked him in the eyes saying,"Do what you have to, Terry. Babe, I will be fine. Just drop me off at Wayne Manor."

  Terry sent his ride here, before he helped me onto his motorcycle. I smiled and got comfortable, before Terry drove us back home.
  Once I got off his motorcycle, I could tell Terry was upset with having to leave me here instead of going on our date. Terry led me up to the room I normally stayed in, before he sat down with me.

  He put his forehead on mine saying,"I am so sorry, N/N. I know you were looking forward to our date and I was, too, but I have to go. You understand, don't you?"

  I nodded, and Terry smiled looking down at me. I smiled back at him and opened my mouth to ask Terry something, but Mr. Wayne came in and said Terry had to go now.
  Terry kissed my nose, before he followed Mr. Wayne down the stairs. I leaned on the door frame and hoped that Terry would stay safe out there. Gotham was crazy.
