Barry Allen x Reader

Everyone, please keep in mind that this is based off Season 2 of The Flash where Zoom made the team believe he was Jay Garrick. So, when you see him being referred to as Jay, then that is why.

   Y/N'S POV

  I found myself sitting in the lab with Cisco, Caitlin, and Harrison Wells. Lately, the team had been very upset and angry over the news we had received about Zoom. Zoom turned out to be Jay Garrick, Earth 2's acting Flash. Yes, he was another speedster that Barry thought he could trust.
  Jay would have been the last person I expected Zoom to be, but anything was possible. The only thing that kept me from getting a headache was when Caitlin called my name.

  Caitlin raised an eyebrow at me, and Cisco directly asked me,"Y/N, are you all right?"

  I nodded and waved it off saying,"I am fine, Ramon."

  Cisco nodded, and Caitlin walked over to me. She put her hand on my shoulder, while I leaned on her hand.

  Caitlin smiled and said,"Barry will be fine, Y/N. Trust me, we will get through this. I know it is hard for him, but we are family, and there is nothing we would not do for Barry. He has been there for all of us, even when we did not ask him to."

  I gave her a quick hug before I got up, deciding to take a walk down the hall. Wells was busy in the lab, and I figured I would stop by to say hello to him.

  I lightly knocked on the door and said,"Hey, Harrison. How are things?"

  Wells chuckled and said,"Things are fine, Y/N, thank you. Going to see, Allen, I assume?"

  I blushed and looked down at my shoes, before Harrison lifted my chin, saying to me,"I'm kidding, honey, but I know you are worried about him. Don't be. Allen is strong enough to push through his own battles. Barry will need your support, though. What man does not need the woman he loves?"

  I nodded in understanding and smiled back saying,"Wells, you give amazing advice. I might just come to you for help in school, too. Tell me you can do a better job at teaching than my college professor?"

  Wells laughed, but he smiled saying,"I am sure I could, Y/N. Tell you what, I will think about it. You should go check on Allen."

  I gave Wells a hug, before he hugged back. I smiled in triumph and made my way down the hall in the opposite direction. I put my hand on the wall and went through. I saw Barry trying to figure out the answer to the Speed Force equation.
  See, Barry had traveled back in time and talked to the other Harrison Wells, otherwise known as Reverse Flash.

  Barry's confidence lately had been at a down low, because he had been paying the price for trusting anyone that seemed dependable to him. I walked up behind Barry and wrapped my arms around his waist.

  Barry continued to look in front of him, while he said,"Y/N, what are you doing in here? I am fine, baby. You look tired, go home."

  I shook my head and leaned on his back saying,"No, you need me here, Flash. Barry, can you please listen to me?"

  Barry sighed, before he turned around and looked down at me.

  Barry pulled me close and rested his forehead on my own saying,"I am sorry, Y/N. I just want to catch Zoom so badly. I don't want to lose anyone I care about again. What if Zoom finds out about you? The last thing I want is him coming through that portal and taking you away from me. Baby, I need you more than anything. You know that, don't you?"

  I nodded and mumbled back,"I do, Allen, I do. I know you are stressed out and worried about what will happen to your family, but everything will be all right. We will all be here fighting beside you, because that is what we do best. We may not agree on everything, but I know you cannot do this alone. I love you, Barry Allen."

  Barry nuzzled his nose against mine, which caused me to blush and smile, too. Barry chuckled and held my chin, before he leaned in and kissed me slowly. I kissed back and could feel his hands move, almost as if he was trying to phase through an object or space.

  I pulled away, and Barry smirked saying,"Sorry, Y/N. I did not mean to. Though, you look cute when you are mad."

  I groaned and pushed Barry away, before I made my way out and back down the hall. Barry quickly caught up with me and intertwined his fingers with mine, before we walked into the main area.

  Cisco let out a sigh of relief, while Caitlin said,"Glad you two are on the same page now. Barry, are you sure you wanna go after Zoom, even after everything he's done?"

  Barry gave my hand a squeeze, before he nodded and said with confidence,"I am sure, Cait. This is my chance to stop Zoom from killing anyone else. He needs to be stopped."

  Caitlin and Cisco nodded, before Barry turned to me and kissed me slowly. I kissed back and ran my fingers through his hair, while I tried to enjoy the moment.

  I closed my eyes and pulled away from the kiss,"I love you, Barry. Please stay safe and do not do anything unnecessary. Barry Allen..."

  Barry chuckled, but he then noticed that I was being dead serious with him. I had my moments when I was playful with him, yet this was not one of those moments.

  "I promise, baby. I promise to do my best and try to stop anything bad from happening. Cisco, I am ready."

  Cisco nodded and said,"Good luck Barry. May the Speed Force be with you."

  I giggled, but I smiled watching Barry get ready. After he was ready to go, he looked at me.

  Flash walked over to me and intertwined his fingers with mine, before he kissed each of my fingers saying,"I will miss you. I need you focused on helping out the team here, not me. I know that is an impossible thing to do for you, so just know I will be all right."

  I nodded and pecked his lips, before I smiled and watched Flash leave.
