This takes place during the game Batman: Arkham Knight. Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight are holding you and Barbara Gordon hostage.

REMINDER: Y/N means Your Name.

   Y/N'S POV

I was clueless as to how much time had passed since I had been taken not too far away from Wayne Manor. Before I was taken, I remembered being forced off the road and not much after that. I was near Wayne Manor, because I had been living there for the past few years. Bruce didn't think it was safe to leave me alone after what had happened to Jason.

Jason was my best friend. He had been my best friend for a long time, and he meant everything to me. He really did.

To many people, they could never quite comprehend how Jason and I had managed to stay best friends for so long. When Jason was alive, I was told that his attitude made it hard for people to really get to know him or stand him for long periods of time.
However, when it came down to it, Jason felt like he could trust me with anything. He told me this himself, and I never forgot it. It was not until some time after that I realized I had feelings for the 2nd Boy Wonder. Looking back, it felt like it should have been obvious to me, but I realized it too late. So, on that dreadful morning when Bruce told me that Jason was dead, I knew that life was going to be an even bigger challenge for me.

I was still trying to process Jason's sudden death to this day.

Now, I was stuck in some room that was too small for anyone to be held against their will in for more than two hours. I had probably been drugged or something, given that I was not aware of how I had even arrived here in the first place. I could have been drugged after I was forced off the road and after the car stopped rolling down the hill. I turned and noticed Barb was still unconscious beside me.

  I hope she's okay...

Barb started moving, and I let out a sigh of relief. It was a huge relief to me, knowing that Barb was moving at least. We all knew whom Barb had been for years and who she was now. She was important to many people, and she did not deserve to be in any more pain than she had previously experienced in this lifetime.

Barb asked me,"Y/N, what are you doing here?"

"My guess is I was drugged with something and unfortunately woke up to being in this horrible room. I do feel terrible, but I feel terrible most days. What about you?"

Barb sighed saying,"I was monitoring the Clock Tower, talking to Bruce, and someone hit me from behind."

I sent Barb a weak smile and sweetly replied,"I'm just glad that you're here with me."

Barb smiled back at me,"Yeah, you, too."

Suddenly, Scarecrow entered the room. He started ranting about the Cloudburst, and then he asked me a million questions. I noticed how he was only focused on me, not Barb.

After Scarecrow realized that Barb was awake, too, he said,"Good. Who is Batman?"

Oracle replied, "Ask him when he gets here!"

Scarecrow then said,"I don't have time for this. Arkham Knight, I'm going to go make sure that we're still on schedule. Watch them."

The Arkham Knight watched Scarecrow leave, before he said to Barb and I,"Still waiting on Bruce to save both of you? Trust me, it's no use. You can only do so much before you're out of time. The old man only cares when it's about the mission. All he cares about is the mission."

That tone, the way the Arkham Knight chose to call Bruce "old man," I once knew someone who would have talked like that. That couldn't be Jason. Not my Jason.

Barb asked The Arkham Knight,"How do you know that?"

The Arkham Knight yelled,"THE OLD MAN DESERVES TO PAY FOR WHAT HE DID!! HE FAILED! HE LEFT ME WITH THE JOKER! NOW, ALL I WANT IS HIM DEAD!!"

There was no use in me even denying that this person before me wasn't Jason Todd. I wondered if this could be my chance to keep Jason from doing something that he'll deeply regret later and to also bring him home. It was long overdue for Jason to return home.

"Jay, is that you?," I asked very timidly, even though I knew the answer to my question already. However, this was a very different Jason than the one I was once accustomed to being around every day.

He walked towards me, and I could tell he was hesitant about getting too close to me.

  Jason said,"Y/N, is that you?"

I nodded saying,"Yes, Jay. It's me. You didn't recognize me until this very moment? Is it the hair?"

I asked him, really disappointed,"Why are you trying to make things even harder for Bruce?"

Jason touched my face and caressed my cheek slowly saying,"He deserves it, Y/N. You know that."

I sighed saying,"Jay, we can fix it together. And when I say "we," I mean our whole family."

Jason snapped yelling,"WE CAN'T FIX IT! Y/N, WE CAN'T FIX IT!"

I flinched, because Jason had never yelled at me before. Even when we had had arguments before in the past, Jason always stopped himself before he could yell at me. Jason noticed that I had flinched, before he apologized for yelling at me. After Jason apologized, he held my hand and squeezed it gently.

Jason looked me in the eyes saying,"I'm sorry for yelling at you. I just don't understand why you still care about me, after everything that I've done to Bruce and you."

I let go of Jason's hand and smiled at him,"Jay, of course I forgive you. I don't just care about you, Jase, I love you. I just never knew how to say it, until now. Jay, it was hard, knowing that you weren't going to be by my side every day and every night. You were all I thought about and have thought about to this day. Bruce mourned for you; we all mourned for you. Oracle was the one that was really there for me more than anyone else after you died. She pushed me to be strong, even though being strong almost seemed pointless. Please do not make me go through anything like I had to again, Jason. I cannot imagine not having you with me; especially, when you are alive and in front of me right now."

Now, tears were in my eyes, and I held Jason's jacket tightly. I wanted to make sure that he could not leave my life a second time.

Jason said,"Y/N, I love you, too, more than anything. I promise that I will be there for you, Bruce, and the family, if you promise to not leave my side?"

"I promise, Jay. Will you come home and try to fix this?"

  Jason replied,"I will."

Jason hugged me, and then he leaned in and kissed me like he never wanted to let go. Trust me, I did not want him to let go. Even though all Barb could do was really sit and watch Jason and I, I knew that she was happy for me. I also knew that Barb probably saw Jason and I's moment as a source of entertainment, since it wasn't like she could go anywhere.
