Bruce Wayne x Reader

   Y/N'S POV

  I walked into Bruce's office, and Bruce just had that look on his face like he hated life right now.

  I said,"My bad, Bruce. I'll bring Barry or Clark with me next time."

  Lucius walked over to me, and I whispered to Lucius,"Has he been like this all morning?"

  Lucius nodded saying,"I'm afraid so, Y/N. I'm not sure what's going on."

  I asked him,"You think he'll tell me before he tells you or Alfred?"

  Lucius said,"No, but I would try. It doesn't mean that he won't tell you. I'll leave to give you two privacy."

  Lucius took my hand and gave it a squeeze, before he walked out and shut the doors behind him.

  I put my hands on Bruce's desk and said to him,"Bruce, what's going on? Look, I know we haven't been together that long and we come from two completely different backgrounds, but I'm on your side. I understand that you probably have a certain way you handle certain situations, but I can't read you. I can't, so will you just talk to me?"

  Bruce walked over to his desk and put a paper down on the desk in front of me.

  I looked down at the paper, before I read it and sighed saying,"Bruce, is this why you're so upset? I didn't think you'd want to come."

  Bruce looked me in the eyes saying,"Why wouldn't I, Y/N? It's important to you."

  I intertwined my fingers with his and said,"I overheard you this morning talking about how you'd be helping Diana out tonight, so I figured it would roughly be at the same time. Even if it wasn't at the exact same time, you'd be too busy to make it. I didn't want to put something else on you."

  Bruce kissed my hand, before he asked me,"Do you want me to be your date?"

  I blushed, but I nodded saying,"I would like that, but you're-"

  Bruce shook his head saying,"I'll let Diana know I'll be with you, then. I'll pick you up at 7."

  I said,"What about Thomas? He was going to be my date."

  Bruce said,"I'll handle it. Go home and get ready."

  I couldn't help but smile, and I pulled Bruce in for a kiss. Bruce kissed back, before he slowly pulled away and said,"I love you."

  I said,"I love you, too, Batman. I'm going. I'm going."

  Bruce smiled at me, before I high fived Lucius on the way out. After I went home and got ready, Bruce arrived at 6:52.

  I walked out to him and kissed his cheek saying,"You look great, Bruce Wayne. Now, compliment me."

  Bruce chuckled, before he said,"You look like a princess. I love the blue on you."

  I smiled up at him, before he led me to the car and helped me in. Then, he drove off and I noticed his hands were shaking a little bit.

  I said,"Bruce, is everything all right?"

  Bruce nodded saying,"I'm fine, Y/N."

  I reached over and rested my hand on his face saying,"Bruce, you're nervous. It's okay. Nothing's going to happen. This is just meant to be something casual and fun. You'll be okay."

  Once we made it, I stopped Bruce from getting out of the car.

  I made him look at me and said,"Bruce, I love you. I really do, but you put more pressure on yourself by thinking that something's going to go wrong all the time. Right now, just think about me and you having a good time. Can you do that?"

  Bruce slowly nodded, before I buried my face in his neck and closed my eyes.

  I said,"We're just going to sit here until you're ready, okay?"

  Bruce wrapped his arms around me, before he said,"Thank you, Y/N."

  "You're welcome."
