Impulse x Reader

   Y/N'S POV

  For 3 years, I have given my loyalty to the team, Young Justice. The team welcomed me, but that didn't mean that they trusted me. It took them a while to realize that I was on their side, but I guess that was just out of habit.
  From what I had heard, this team had had a few incidents of moles or traitors being revealed within the team itself. Once I heard that, I completely understood why they were so guarded at first.

  Anyway, I was trying to find Flash. Yeah, Flash was my mentor. I had grown up very fond of him and meeting him felt like more than just a dream. I guess you could have called me a dedicated fan at first, but I have it somewhat under control now. Somewhat...

  After about 2 hours, I could not find Flash anywhere. I groaned and took a trip to the kitchen.

  Batgirl said,"Why the long face? Did the boys play another prank on you again?"

  I shook my head, but I smiled at Barb's concern.

  I replied,"No, I cannot find Flash. Have you seen him?"

  Barb shook her head and said,"No, maybe he is running a little late. Have you met Bart yet?"

  I immediately smiled, and I wished I hadn't.

  Barb noticed and smirked saying,"Ooo, someone likes Impulse."

  I playfully hit Barb's shoulder and said,"Okay, okay, maybe I do like him, but he may not even feel the same way. Please do not tell him."

  Barb nodded and smiled saying,"I won't, Y/N. You have my word. Does Barry know?"

  I shook my head and said,"No, most likely he does not know. The last thing I want is a talk from Barry Allen."

  Barb giggled, and I pushed her over the sofa. Bumblebee walked in, and I embraced her tightly.

  She hugged back and said,"I missed you too, bestie. How have you been, Y/N?"

  I smiled saying,"Fine, Karen. It is great to see you. I..."

  I went to say something, but Bart walked into the room with Blue Beetle. My ugly smile made a return, and I tried to play it off.
  Karen and Barb giggled, while I tried to cover my face from them. Strong hands removed my hands from my face, and those strong hands belonged to Bart Allen.

  He smiled and said,"Hey, Y/N, what are you hiding from?"

  I shook my head and said,"Nothing, Bart, I was just playing around with Barb and Karen. What's up?"

  Bart smiled saying,"I just wanted to hear your voice."

  I looked down and tried not to blush, but I failed.

  Bart lifted my chin and said,"Y/N, you look very beautiful when you blush. Can I ask you something?"

  I hopefully said,"Yes, Bart?"

  Bart lifted me up before holding my hands saying,"This is gonna be crash, but Y/N, will you please go out to dinner with me?"

  I was holding in a squeal, while I looked back at Karen and Barb. They motioned for me to answer, before I looked back at Bart.

  I smiled saying,"Yes, I would love to, Bart."

  Bart sighed in relief and kissed my hand, before he ran off with Blue. When Bart was out of sight, I squealed and then screamed so loud. Barb and Karen covered their ears, so I quickly apologized to them.

  Barb and Karen pulled me in for a group hug and said,"Congrats, Y/N!! Now, let's go get you ready!!"

  Barb and Karen grabbed my hand, before they guided me to Karen's room. She sat me down on the bed, while Barb and her picked out my outfit. I quickly put on the outfit. Then, Karen started on my hair and makeup, and Barb helped me with my shoes.

  I smiled saying,"Thanks girls, but you do not have to..."

  Karen covered my mouth and chuckled saying,"Enough talking girl, and tell us what you think?!!"

  I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror.

  Tears of happiness filled my eyes, before I said,"Barb and Karen, I do not know what I would do without you guys. You two are making me mess up my mascara."

  Karen and Barb chuckled, but Barb sincerely said,"You are welcome, Y/N. You deserve to be happy. We promised your Dad we would look out for you, so that is what we are doing."

  I nodded and redid my makeup, before I headed to the front entrance. I felt a rush of wind and lost my balance.   Strong arms caught me, and I slowly looked up to see Bart. I took that time to look him over, and he looked very handsome.

  I blushed in embarrassment and fixed my attire saying,"Thanks, Bart. You look very handsome, by the way."

  Bart said,"Thank you, Miss Y/N. You look gorgeous, now let's go eat!!"

  I laughed at Bart, before he sped us to the restaurant. He gently put me down and held my hand, walking us inside. Bart opened my chair for me, before I sat down. The food did not take long, so we finished eating quickly. Bart ate so many plates I had lost count. I was too busy giggling after, that I did not even notice Bart staring at me.

  He shook his head and held out his hands. I smiled and put my own hands in his.

  Bart intertwined our fingers saying,"Y/N, I am not the best at this, but I really like you. You are sweet, sassy, intelligent, and shy, but I really like that about you. You are shy, but you are also not afraid to speak your mind when you have to, and that's okay. I guess what I am trying to say is: Y/N, I love you."

  I smiled through my tears and said,"Bart, you do not know how long I have waited for you to say that to me. I love you, too, Bart Allen."

  Bart smiled and leaned in, kissing me passionately. I kissed back and brought him closer to me.

  Bart held on for a while and slowly let go yelling,"NOW, THAT WAS CRASH!!"

  I giggled softly, before he brought us back to Mount Justice.

  He put his forehead on mine saying,"I love you, Y/N."

  I smiled and said,"I love you, too, Bart."
