   Y/N'S POV

As I made dinner for Damian and I, Damian walked in through the front door and I said,"Hey, how did it go?"

Damian took off his jacket and said,"Not well."

Damian walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me.

He buried his face in my neck and said,"I missed you."

I smiled saying,"I missed you, too, Damian. I also miss the days where you were like 15 and much shorter than me."

Damian kissed my cheek, before he said,"I matured, Y/N."

I replied,"That's debatable, Damian. Sure, your voice is much deeper and it scares me half the time, but I'm not sure whether your attitude's changed at all."

Damian rolled his eyes, removing his arms from around me.

I put them back and kissed his jaw saying,"Damian, I'm just messing with you. Your attitude's come a long way. You've come a long way."

Damian rested his forehead against mine and said,"I know, Y/N. You've come a long way as well."

Damian washed his hands, before he helped me fix our plates. Then, he put our plates on the table and pulled out my chair for me. I kissed him in thank you, then I sat down.
Damian sat down in his seat, then I prayed over our meal and immediately dug in. Damian smiled, yet he didn't say anything.

We ate in silence, until I asked him,"Are you busy this afternoon?"

He leaned back in his chair and said,"No. Why do you ask?"

I said,"I'd like to come up with more baby names together, if that's all right with you?"

Damian smiled at me saying,"It's all right with me, Y/N."

I noticed Damian had barely touched his food, and I moved his chair closer to mine.

Damian took my hand and said,"Father doesn't trust me."

I ran my thumb over his bruised knuckles saying,"Damian, I'm sure that-"

Damian squeezed my hand saying,"Y/N, he doesn't trust me. You're the only one who trusts me now."

Damian let go of my hand and walked up to our bedroom. I cleaned off the table, before I put Damian's leftovers up for another day. I headed up the stairs, before I sat down beside him on the bed.

I ran my fingers through his hair and said,"Damian, I know your relationship with everyone is different than it used to be, but it doesn't mean that you can't earn their trust back. It doesn't mean that you can't get your family back."

Damian rested his hands on my stomach saying,"Y/N, you and our daughter are my family. No one else."

  I sighed saying,"But-"

Damian looked away from me, yet his hands remained on my stomach.

I put my hands over his own and said,"I don't have to work tomorrow. Maybe we could finally go to that new place down the street that you've been wanting to check out?"

Damian smiled and gave me a kiss saying,"Y/N, we don't have to-"

I cut off by saying,"Damian, please think about yourself, too. This is something you've really wanted to do for a few months now, so we'll do it together. I'm sorry it took me so long to say something about it, but this is the perfect time for the two of us to do this. What do you say?"

Damian answered,"I say thank you. I love you so much, Y/N."

I said,"I love you, too, and you're welcome. Damian, will you please do me a favor and finish your dinner? I know you haven't eaten all day. Please?"

Damian pulled me into his arms and kissed my shoulder saying,"I will, Y/N."
