Chapter 3: Howdy Roomie

Wednesday and (Y/n) climbed the stairs that led to their dorm, but Wednesday paused when he saw a bunch of fan mail and drawings taped to (Y/n) and Enid's door.

"Remind me to have Thing and I set bear traps outside your door." Wednesday commented.

He ripped the drawings off and opened the door to be met with total chaos. A bunch of werewolf students were running around the room, swinging from beams and two were even making out on (Y/n)'s empty bed.

A girl with pink and blue colored hair skipped forward and embraced (Y/n) tightly. "Howdy roomie!" She squealed.

(Y/n) was too stunned by the scene in front of her to reply, so Wednesday stepped forward. "Enid."

That was all he needed to say for her to get the hint. "Okay, everyone out! Thanks for the help." She announced.

All the students filed out of the room, the last one being a tall boy with curly brown hair. "Don't put too much pressure on it." He warned, gesturing to a small shelf he helped put together.

Enid looked to him with a smile. "Right. No pressure. Got it."

"Catch up with you later at the lupin cages?" He suggested. "With the others?"

"Absolutely, Bruno." Enid watched him leave, and closed the door.

She leaned her back against it as she looked to (Y/n) and Wednesday. "How was your guys' vacay? Because I had the best summer ever, and I've been dying to tell you all about it."

"Well, I'm sure I'll want to kill you after you tell me, so we both win." Wednesday commented.

(Y/n) nudged him lightly. "Hey, you promised me no death this year, remember?." She reminded him jokingly.

Wednesday's face fell. "Right..."

"Well, I'll spare Wednesday the details, but I did get him a gift at Lupinpalooza at Golden Gate Park. Don't worry, it's not a snood." Enid handed Wednesday a bag, and he opened it to reveal a black T-shirt with the name of a band. "Bay-O-Wolf. Get it? Like Beowulf? I thought you'd love the literary reference."

"Nothing like a bad pun to throw dirt on the coffin of poetry." Wednesday muttered. "I got you a gift as well. From our summer travels."

Wednesday exited the room for a moment, and went next door to his dorm where his things had been dropped off.

"Brace yourself." (Y/n) whispered.

Before Enid could respond, Wednesday came back in carrying a large doll with blond hair and in a blue dress.

"Oh..." Enid stammered. "It's...a little creepy, but uh, the curls are super soft."

"It's made from real human hair." He told her with a small smile.

Enid froze and let out a small hum, setting the doll down. "I just have so many goals this year. I wanna secure my place in the pack, become dance troupe captain, and finally join the Nightshades. What about you two?"
