Wednesday made his way to the Galpin family home and ducked under the police tape, entering through the front door. Thing scurried beside him, and Wednesday looked down at him. "Check in the back. We're looking for anything that can point us to where they're hiding. Isaac isn't going anywhere until he can save his sister from being a Hyde."

As Thing crawled towards the back of the house, Wednesday saw Weems standing in the living room looking at a picture on a mantle.

"All Francoise ever wanted was a normal life. And she had it for a fleeting moment. The last time I stood in this room, she asked me to be her maid of honor. I knew she hadn't told Galpin of her condition, so I declined. We didn't speak again."

Wednesday rolled his eyes. "Spare me your saccharine stroll down memory lane."

"Then perhaps you can tell me how you plan to take on the Galpin family monster mash-up. Your sharp tongue won't be enough to keep them at bay." Weems said sarcastically.

"If you're not here to help, feel free to dissipate."

"Afraid I can't do that. We need to have a discussion."

"There's nothing to discuss." Wednesday denied, visibly frustrated. "My girlfriend is still going to die. I've saved her life numerous times, and I'm still going to be the reason for her premature death. What more could there be to it?"

"A lot more..." Weems told him, her voice barely above a whisper.

Wednesday paused and turned to face her. "What do you know?"

She sighed. "I'm afraid your parents aren't the only ones who have been keeping secrets. I hoped that your premonition of her death had nothing to do with (Y/n)'s identity and I could keep it hidden, but it seems that's no longer an option."

Wednesday furrowed his brows. "What identity? She's a Normie."

Weems gave him a sad, almost condescending look. "Do you honestly think I would have let her attend Nevermore if she wasn't an Outcast?"

Wednesday's gaze narrowed. "If she's not a Normie, then what is she?" He already had a guess, but he still prayed to whatever demon was out there that it wouldn't be true.

But as Weems opened her mouth, he felt his heart sink at what came out. "She's a Hyde."

Wednesday shook his head, denial taking over him. "No."

"Yes..."

"No."

"Yes."

"No, no, no. She is not a Hyde. It's not true."

"It's true."

"No! It's impossible!" Wednesday shouted. "There is no way that (Y/n), my girlfriend, the kindest person to ever live, despite my efforts, is one of those...monsters!" He spat.

"But she is..." Weems insisted.

"Hydes were banned from Nevermore. Her family is all Normies. They abandoned her here because they're spineless worms who don't deserve to even crawl along the Earth." Wednesday rationalized, still not believing her.
