Chapter 8: Unravelled Secrets

Isaac plugged his device into the large machine in the basement of Willow Hill where Francoise was held captive. The machine powered up, and the basement was lit on the other side of the glass as well.

Isaac smiled at the working machine and turned to Francoise. "I can finally keep that promise I made to you. To free you from Theo horrible curse."

Tyler glanced at his Uncle, taken aback by his words.

Francoise climbed up into the small table and laid on her back.

"We gave to secure you for the procedure." Isaac said, strapping her arms down.

"You think being a Hyde is a curse?" Tyler asked. "It's the most free I've ever felt."

"That so called freedom comes with a price." His mother told him. "Every transformation has a human cost. Until it finally steals your life."

"I designed this machine to remove Outcast abilities. If I can take away your mother's Hyde side, I can stop her from dying." Isaac explained.

He and Tyler left the room, leaving Francoise in the table. They went to the other side of the glass and as Isaac was pressing buttons and levers to start up the machine, Tyler heard a shoe squeak on the tile.

"Someone else is here." He muttered. He turned and took a few calculated steps back, before his arm suddenly reached out and grabbed Agnes' arm, making her reappear.

"Little snoop is one of Wednesday's friends." Tyler told Isaac. "What do you want me to do with her?"

"Put her in a cell." Isaac told him. "I'll need a snack once I'm done."

Tyler shoved Agnes into a nearby cell and chained her wrist to the floor. "Make yourself at home." He sneered, closing the door. "We can deal with that Nevermore brat later."

Isaac powered up his machine, flipping levers and charging up the power. Once it started activating, Isaac and Tyler went to the other side of the glass.

Little did they know, Wednesday, (Y/n) and Enid had made it to Willow Hill and snuck into the basement, hiding behind the staircase.

Once they all were inside the room with the machine, Wednesday slipped inside Agnes' cell and unchained her wrist. However, the door to the cell opened and Tyler walked inside.

"Look who showed up."

(Y/n) suddenly jumped on Tyler's back, making him lose his balance. "Don't forget about me."

Tyler flipped her over his shoulder, slamming her onto the ground.

"Leave her alone!" Wednesday yelled.

"There's no full moon to save you now—!"

Wednesday raised his foot and kicked Tyler in the chest, sending him flying out of the cell. He suddenly sank to his knees, a pain spreading through his chest.

Enid rushed in and saw Wednesday beginning to transform. "You need to clam down or else you're going to wolf out!"

"Too late...get out!"
