Lizzie's POV.

Okay I have to say that Y/n completely surprised me by bringing me here to see my family.

We definitely needed a change of air, everything at home has been pretty tense, so I'm thankful we can both be here.

My family loves her which doesn't surprise me much, what would make these days more perfect would be if Aubrey could be here and if she didn't hate Y/n so much, but I guess we can't have everything we want, can we?

Putting that aside, what Y/n told me about Devora and their relationship doesn't leave me very comfortable, I mean I'm sure she's still in love with my girlfriend and will go to great lengths to separate us, but for now I'll opt to relax and enjoy the quiet.

I'll take care of Devora once I get home, that's for sure.

Right now we are on our way to my parents house for lunch, Y/n hasn't stopped talking about what a fun time we will have tonight with my sisters and her friends.

I'm actually excited to meet them, apparently Carter is Y/n's favorite for some reason and I can't wait to see why.

"Are you sure they'll like this chocolate cake?" There were too many options, we could have chosen something less ordinary..." Y/n says quickly

I laughed seeing how dedicated she was to pleasing my family.

"Yes honey, they love this flavor of cake, you have nothing to worry about," I assured her.

"Still, we could have brought something else besides this cake, ice cream maybe? Cupcakes? I don't know, some Italian dessert" she kept insisting.

"Baby there will be so much food that if we had bought any more we wouldn't eat it from how full we'll end up, stop worrying."

She sighed and nodded.

"Yes, you're right."

She drove for a few more minutes until she got to my parents' house.

"Oh girls you're just in time" was the first thing Dad said.

"We are starving" I replied hugging him.

Y/n and dad greeted each other with a warm hug and came in after me.

The lunch was delicious, full of laughter and laughter. Y/n talked a little about her, making my family get to know her a little better.

They were all happy to see the woman I was with, she was so responsible, so mature, so in control.

I don't know how they might react once they realize what she does for a living, but that's something I'll worry about later.

My parents were clearing all the dishes from the table when I heard her say.

"Okay, if you insist" said my mom with a giggle.

"Girls why don't you turn on the TV and pick some movie to watch while your mom, Y/n and I clean up" said my dad.

"Sure" the twins nodded making me stand up from the table with them.

I don't know what is taking them so long to do the dishes but I swear it has taken them thirty minutes already, so I decided to go into the kitchen.
