Ray's sword, the Teketsu is a magical sword. The Teketsu, in it's basic and true form, is a European broadsword.
When Ray taps into it's power, the Teketsu slightly grows in length and expand to reveal a wider, oversized broadsword.
Though it looks heavy to characters in the story, it is light as a feather to Ray in this form.
