The Thunder Brothers originally had a different look planned.
Thunder was set to be tall, slightly burly, and bald. He was going to wear blue and black knight-like armor, a blue headband, and a black lightning bolt symbol on his breastplate. Thunder would be more serious and easily angered, with a traditional scowl to match.
Lightning, on the other hand, was to be slim with a very slight muscular build. His clothing would consist of black and yellow loose-fitting, similar in style to Ray's. He would also have a blue headband containing the image of a cloud with a lightning bolt coming from it. Lightning was intended to always bear a sinister grin, even when serious or being emotional.
