Naraku was a half-demon who created demon incarnations from his own body (like how Ren formed Yin and Yang) and eventually gains a new full-fledged demon body in order to increase his own strength. Sound familiar?
The major comparison, though, is in personality. Like Ren, Naraku liked to toy with his adversaries, normally escape before death, and usually use his demon incarnations as pawns.
