A lot of the plot points and action within The Mekai was planned out through music. My Muse comes to me through music and different kinds invoke different types of movement.
Fast-paced pop, rap, hip-hop, and other upbeat types of songs are usually the ones that invoke action or battle sequences. Songs that are slower and more serene in nature aids me in describing backgrounds as well as situations.
Love songs help develop any romances. Songs about fighting and violence bring about angry or distressed characters. Songs that have more of a ballad-like style bring about more dramatic and often times emotional situations.
As you can tell, depending on how a song or piece of music sounds, it will bring about a different type of movement or action. Pretty much everything in this book started out this way.
