Jean turns confused to the next page. It's empty. She looks at the date of the last entry. When Jade was younger it wasn't unusual for her to not write for a long time, but as she grew older, the more consistent she was in writing into her diary. Not to mention that there are a few pages completely left blank. Jean then sees the handwriting of her mother again, though the date was far later and the letters too shaky. What could have happened?
„Dear Diary,
You won't believe me when I tell you, that this time it wasn't my fault that I haven't written into you.
Honestly I have no idea where and how to start. So much has happened. I guess I'll try to explain the elephant in the room. I am still shaken by it and more than grateful to still be here.
I can't remember all of it, but I know that I was with Gemma in the library, to study. Somewhere in between, I remember blurry that I desperately needed a break and so I decided to stand up and walk around, sneaking through the aisles of books. I then needed the toilet, so I made my way there. Teachers were patrolling around and prefects were stationed, so I didn't think too much of a potential danger lurking around.
Oh how wrong I was. The moment I stepped into the toilet stall, I had a strange feeling. Couldn't shake it, didn't really know what it was. I should have trusted my guts more. Anyways, I don't know what happened afterwards or what went down, my memory is way too blurry and confused on its events. If I had to take a guess, I'd dare say, that I heard something moving outside the stall and that I slowly stepped out of the stall. Someone was there and then- all black. I have no recalling whatsoever. I can't even tell you how it felt. It's strange. So strange.
The next thing I awoke in the Hospital Wing, light blinded me and meos dios, with a sore throat. I was so incredibly thirsty. I was so confused, everything hurt and it felt even weirder to move my body. Imagine spaghetti. They are straight and if you move them too fast they break. You first have to put them into boiling water and then slowly, step by step, you start to bend them and are actually able to. It was like that.
When I looked at the other students, who laid next to me, I instantly knew what had happened. I was targeted by the heir of Slytherin and he managed to get me. However, I didn't know how or who. The important questions still remained unanswered and after the first confusion wore off and I slowly started to function again (especially in my brain parts- oh Mierde, now I know how Guzman has to feel all the time) angst kicked in. What if the heir comes back and finishes his job.
Now I know how silly my anxiety has been regarding that matter. Since the danger was already over, but you can't blame me. I had no clue. Neither of us had. Still I was relieved to see the others moving again. Especially Colin. Can you imagine? He was lying there almost all school year. If my body felt like a brick, I don't want to know how his has to feel.
You may wonder now, how could the danger be over? Well let me explain. Harry Potter and Ron, Freds younger brother, took our lovely dovely teacher Lockhard with them and took it on themselves to stop the potential attacks. Because Ginny Weasley was kidnapped and taken by the heir. (They wanted to shut down the school, because apparently no professor knew, where she is. It took second years to do that job? Really?)
They found out that the attacks were caused by a Basilisk. It's a giant snake, who could kill you with a single stare. And these two (still second years! Fucking second year students) went to find it. How they managed to do that and where they had their bravery lies far away from me. Not to mention that they found the snake and the cause, they even eliminated it for good. Fucking second years.
