Alex turned around, and saw a tall lanky man standing in front of him. Eric looked fearful, stepping aside from the tall figure.

The person who had spoken was tall, almost a head taller than Alex. He was unshaven with hair quite long. Most of the details on his face were hidden by his black hoodie, and under it, Alex saw traces of weapons underneath his shirt.

" Ferrari? " Alex questioned, frowning at the tall man.

He seemed to smile a bit, a grim smile, before pushing his hood back, revealing his slightly goofy features. Alex felt obligated to push his own hoodie back too.

" You must be Alex, which Dan had told me about. We were to look for you, and we got some help to get your general position, " the man said.

Alex looked at this man, in front of him. He surely looked like one of them.

" You are Will? How did you know I was here? I was supposed to look for you," Alex muttered, looking around.

Night had almost fallen completely. Eric was in the midst of scurrying back to his home, in the shadows. Will looked around, observing the night sky with slight surprise. Alex frowned again, this was the leader of the Ferraris, but he did not even take note of his surroundings. He briefly wondered if his team could help him at all.

" Will, it isn't safe to talk here, the British may come," Alex whispered, tugging on the man's sleeve, starting to pull him towards the shadows of the trees.

Will nearly stumbled. Alex gripped him tighter to prevent him from falling over.

" Right. Night time. I'll bring you to our hideout? There's something you should see," Will commented, as if suddenly remembering their situation.

Alex agreed quickly. He wanted to know where they were hiding out, for the Assassins may need to move. If someone as stupid as Finn could get in, then it was time for a change in place.

An owl hooted in the distance. A fly buzzed around Will's head. Alex closed his palm around the flying insect, crushing its body before cleaning its crushed remains on a random tree leaf.

The silence between Alex and Will could be described as comfortable. The two of them was just enjoying the night, taking a stroll in the darkness. For a moment, Alex forgot how worried he was.

To think, that if he had not been scratched by a bear, he would have been captured with the four of them. Will looked so calm and relaxed, a wide, childish smile on his face.

But Alex could still see a bit of murderer in him. The way he carried himself, tall and proud. His eyes darted around at the slightest noise, but he still managed to look relaxed and peaceful.

Alex knew he was a complete bundle of nerves. Again. If Elle had died, he might not want to survive either. Somehow, Alex wished that he had been there last night, to protect her.

" You look so scared. It's okay," Will assured him. His voice was oddly mature and calm.

Fair enough, Will looked a whole lot older than Alex. But something about his demeanor made him seem kind, as if his belief in humanity had not faded away during the entire purge and invasion.

Alex knew, that his belief in humanity had died when he saw his first bomb go off. A suicide bomber, killing nearly five other innocent people with him. Then again, no one was truly innocent. Not even Alex.

Alex and Elle had killed so many people, that they had lost count. They were just as inhumane as everyone else. There was blood on his hands, people who probably did not deserve to die.
