Chapter 50.

" Guys, oh my god, you are alright!" Chrissy exclaimed, jumping down from the hole in the ceiling and landing on top of Odin and the other British soldier. Kurt came hurtling down soon after her.

Alex was relieved to see that she was alright, and that the British had no gotten to her after all. He was beginning to doubt her ability to survive, since all of these people here were all confident and cocky, and might kill her just to show it off. Quickly, Chrissy pulled away the dead soldier. Priorities were priorities. Killing Odin while he was unconscious was clearly one of the most important factors. She held him down, while Alex took out one knife. He held the knife out. Elle placed her hand over his, and Sam's hand went over hers. Chrissy put her hand with theirs, and Kurt soon followed suite.

With one swift movement, all five of them brought the knife plunging down into his heart.

Blood spurted everywhere. But none of them flinched. This was why they had come here in the first place. For months now, this was what all five of them had worked to do. And finally, they were able to do so. None of them felt any remorse for murdering this man. In fact, he was probably better off dead. Silently, they pulled the knife back out, letting even more blood spill. Alex was positive that the man was dead. Even if he was not dead yet, he would be in a few minutes.

" Self destruct will happen in half an hour."

Alex felt himself gasp, as his mind finally registered the words spewed  from an unidentified speaker overhead, ringing from seemingly everywhere. This was not possible, was it? They were going to make it out alive, were they not? What else had Odin prepared? Chrissy took Alex's knife from him, slicing open Odin's shirt. She quickly tried to brush the blood off. Right there, was a huge rigged up circuit. Killing him meant setting off the self destruct button with the breakage of any of the wires.

" Alert the others, we have thirty minutes to figure a way out of here!" Chrissy said, snapping into action.

The Assassins quickly went over to the hole in the ceiling, pulling themselves as quickly as they could, which Will's team had fallen into earlier and begun to hoist themselves upwards. All of their hearts were thumping wildly in their chests. This had not been anticipated. Alex could not believe that they had not guaranteed their safety at this point. Odin had been murdered easily, but this entire self destructing thing was too smart to believe. All of them had thought that once Odin was dead, everything would be over.

" Get out of the building. Evacuate the building, " Alex spoke into the system, but only a static response came back. Odin must have set up something to disrupt their communication wave lines. He cursed loudly as he put it in its pocket.

Sirens were blaring loudly overhead, and as they ran, they could hear people fighting. Gun shots, yells and shouts of pain. Preparing himself for it, Alex quickly pulled out his weapons, along with his goggles. They had to get their friends out of there, and smoke out the soldiers. It was the fastest way to get the upper hand in such a desperate situation. All of their fighters had goggles to protect them, while the British did not.

" Guys! Swimming goggles!" Kurt hollered, at the fighting crowd of British soldiers and Will's team.

They were lucky this time, as the soldiers had been called out into action so urgently that almost no equipment, except melee weapons were brought with them. Some struggled with the soldiers as they brought out their goggles. Kurt did not wait for them. He held the tear gas canister for three seconds before releasing. Alex and Elle had barely had time to put on their goggles, when the smoke was released. Chrissy handed Alex a torchlight through the tear gas. He took it from her in surprise. The torch was to lead those with goggles out of the place.
