Alex went out, in his normal clothes, after Elle had left for the date with Finn. Chrissy and Kurt were unable to hide their surprise upon hearing that he actually wanted to do something else besides cleaning and sharpening his weapons. Alex hardly left his homes.

He walked around, two knives strapped to each leg, and three guns in their holsters around his waist. People brushed past him absent mindedly, not even bothering to give him a second glance. Who would have thought that an Assassin would be walking around with commoners in broad daylight?

Alex saw a soldier, standing at the corner. A young girl ran by, and he held out a hand to stop her. Alex had never seen a ten year old look so terrified in his entire life. Her big blue eyes were locked against the soldier's, hands kneading at her skirt nervously.

" Where would you be going young lady?" the British soldier barked in his thick accent.

" H-home," she stammered in response, jerking her thumb in the general direction of run down flats. A lot of homes were destroyed by fights and grenades. Everywhere could be considered to be run down except the place where the British were staying, especially Odin and Georgie's hideout.

Alex was extremely tempted to get the girl away from the British soldier, but quickly turned his head away and begun to walk away from the scene. He was in no position to fight now, his head was definitely not in the game, and he was losing focus. It was stupid that a single girl had made him feel and affect him so much.

" Mister, anything to donate?" a beggar off the street asked, shaking his empty tin at Alex. He shook his head quickly, before walking away, hands shoved in his pockets.

After spending his entire life killing people, it was something totally new to be walking around and actually experiencing the life of a normal person. No wonder Elle sometimes wanted to walk around, but Alex had constantly stayed at home.

Elle.

Why was it that she constantly ruled his entire mind? Alex sighed a little, kicking a pebble at his feet. They were partners for over a decade, but she had replaced him in the blink of an eye. Alex was wondering if what he was constantly experiencing these days could be counted as jealousy.

Ooh.

Jealousy was something Alex had never experienced before. He was an extremely strong and skilful fighter, and out in current America, that was all you needed to survive. And climb to the very tip of the food chain. The Assassins always got their way with things.

" Nightmare Boy?"

Alex turned around, only to see Eric there, with his hands on the shoulders of his young grandson. Alex had not seen them since he had fled from their house when they ambushed him. It was good to see that the two of them were doing fine.

Also, hardly anyone knew of Alex and Elle's separate codenames. Even if they knew, the pair was hardly separated. But now they were, and forever will be. Elle found another man to replace his spot in her life.

" Eric! Eric Junior, " Alex greeted them, feeling a smile pull at his lips.

" Good to see that you're still alive and kickin' mate. Whenever you guys make a broadcast, you always don't speak up," Eric commented, giving him a light punch on his arm.

" Rough times with them British. I'm always out killing some," Alex admitted. He could trust Eric, he had been a loyal supporter of the Nightmare Pair, before subsequently a fan of the Assassins. They were friends with him, Sam and Kurt occasionally went over to Eric's home too.

Eric Junior was fiddling with something in his pocket. Alex kneeled down at the child's height to take a closer look.

" Eric, you gave your grandson a gun?" Alex questioned, pointing at the shape of the gun against Eric Junior's loose red shirt.
